Thank you for another very entertaining reaction. I really enjoyed it and it is a great movie. John Wayne suggested Lee Marvin for the role of Valance after working with him in The Comancheros (1961). The film features the first occasion of John Wayne calling someone "Pilgrim". It became something of a trademark in future movies. Valance addresses several characters as "dude." From the 1870s to 1960s, this was a pejorative term with the approximate meaning of "overdressed city slicker," usually applied to city dwellers visiting rural areas. In the 1960s, surfer culture adapted the term to mean "friend" or "companion." An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991) was the second movie in the American Tail Series. Tiger was voiced by Dom DeLuise who has been in many movies including The Cannonball Run (1981 Action Comedy) and Cannonball Run II (1984 Action Comedy). He also appeared in Blazing Saddles as Buddy Bizarre and was the voice of Pizza the Hutt in Spaceballs. John Cleese also had a voice role in Fievel Goes West as Cat R. Waul. Andy Devine (as Marshal Link Appleyard) was indeed the voice of Friar Tuck in Disney’s Robin Hood (1973). My favourite James Stewart movie is Flight of the Phoenix (1965 Survival Drama). I'm sure you would enjoy it.

Great reaction! John Wayne made a living in action movies. Most notably westerns and war movies. A romcom movie that didn't fit that type roll, but was excellent The Quit Man (1952). Based on a Yank returning to Ireland, tries to learn the culture, falls in love, but has difficulty adjusting to the courting rituals.. you would like it, I think..

Ah John Cleese voiced that cat boss in Fievel Goes West!!?? What?! 🤣 I didn't realise this and I did look to see where I knew Tigers voice from! It was the little dog in All dogs go to Heaven. Itchy I think his name was. Pizza the Hutt 🤢 I forgot about him! Oh the Marshal was Friar Tuck! That's awesome 😁

On the 'Western' front, I recommend 'High Noon' with Gary Cooper & Grace Kelly. Another example of the same 'man's gotta do what a man's gotta do' scenario, but with a bit more depth and less shouting. B&W too.
