Dawn, this was the last movie Zeppo made with his brothers. He retired from films and became an agent, representing some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. But he was in all their movies preceding this one so you will still get a chance to see him!!

It’s a shame you didn’t get to this one until after you watched Firefly. Rufus T. Firefly? Right?

Watching you discover The Marx Brothers just makes me so happy.

Very funny. If you weren’t reacting to these Dawn I would never see them. It’s great seeing these with you. This was the final film of Zeppo Marx. After the film's premiere, he quit The Marx Brothers, citing dissatisfaction with movie acting overall, and a weariness with being the butt of jokes regarding him as the "unfunny" Marx brother. "Duck soup" was American English slang at that time; it meant something easy to do. Screenwriters Harry Ruby and Bert Kalmar were standing on the set one day when an extra standing next to them said, "I don't know who wrote this stuff but they ought to be arrested...they should be in a different business." Kalmer, who was known as a rational and calm man, said to Ruby, "I'm going over to hit him. Who does he think he is? He's just an extra!" But before fisticuffs erupted, Kalmer and Ruby were informed that Chico Marx had paid the extra to prank the screenwriters, just for the hell of it. Queen released two albums in reference to the Marx Brothers, "A Night at the Opera" in 1975, and "A Day at the Races" in 1976. The band had watched Marx Brothers movies during recording sessions. Subsequently, they became good friends with Groucho Marx, to the point where Marx sent the band a letter praising their 1976 album A Day at the Races.

Aww well I'm glad we're watching them for the first time together 😁 I'm sure Zeppo was just as funny as the others but didn't get the chance to stand out. Oh I did think A Day at the Races was another Queen album but wasn't sure! I love hearing of famous people connecting. Thanks again so much for your comment Lee! ❤
