character design drafts (Oliver + the bf) (Patreon)

i still need to line a few panels and color some pages but i think i will get the scene done until the end of the month! i wish i could tell you that i could overcome artblock but.... not yet 💔

i've been in my hermit crab shell for the past week because i just tend to  hide myself when i feel bad which makes me feel even worse.. obviously. it's just no help right now ; ; my fingers are itching to draw and i'm actually feeling super creative, i have a ton of ideas... but not for the comic scene itself... which at this point i just really can't explain anymore, i think i just stared too long at the comic panels by now and all i see is mistakes and nothing makes sense anymore and i struggle with lines. 

so the past few days i also drew something just for myself as a reward to getting panels done. i love to draw animals and it's kinda boosting my confidence because it's just fun to play around with expressions and poses and i don't pressure myself so much when i draw them... so i thought, i could try my hands on something else...

ahem, i'm not sure if you're interested in this, but meet my new experimental character, Oliver! 

at first my plan was to make a fursona for myself (i wanted to try this for quite a while tbh), but i have no experience in drawing anthros and their bodies at all, so i tested around a bit with proportions and where i want to go... i think i do have a direction now! kinda a cuter approach, i will also give him clothes~ i also already have a small story in mind for him and his huge boyfriend (he looks so small but he's actually my height, it's just that his bf is HUGE) ... and yeah actually my plan was to make a fursona but i just accidentally made two new sons. big boy still needs a name and a color scheme (his fur will be white/gray with golden sprinkles, maybe will also get golden fangs) and i will just see where i will go with them. i'd love to do silly little comic strips with them sometimes.. nothing too serious. for now i have the idea that Oliver is some sort of witch and he attempts to heal or fix ? things with some sort of glowy ink or ghostly substance he can summon from his injured paw... and i think he accidentally stumbles upon big boy (maybe while in danger). will give them human forms too? maybee

also yeah they're kinda similar to Robin and Noah if you see them next to each other, but honestly it's just my type of character dynamic and looks omg... i am so guilty of this hahah 💙 will definitely have to work on big boy's design more, ... and so starts my side quest to furrier things 🐾
