So, I'm back from vacation and let me tell you, the last few days of it were a fucking doozy. I spent two weeks jaunting around Hawaii, and for the most part, I had a blast, with a handful of exceptions.

The last day of the trip, I was on a "sunset dinner cruise" on Kauai and generally, I don't get motion sick. First two and a half hours, I feel fine. Salad course arrives, I have some minor spillage and decide not to eat. Two more hours pass, I'm a little woozy but generally fine. Ship stops dead for us to "enjoy the sunset," and my body decides it's time to eject everything. I mean, shit, I think I saw a cheesesteak I had in '97 going out with that stuff. I threw everything up into the water over the side of the boat, and after that, felt mostly fine again, although super drained because, as pointed out, my body no longer contained *any* nutrition. We get back to the hotel and basically everything is closed, so I have to take the rental car away from the resort and into the nearby town to hit up the Taco Bell and eat the blandest food I could, just to keep it down. And then the next morning, I flew back to the Bay.

I did get a bit of work done on the plane, but nowhere near as much as I'd like, so I'm going to consider last Friday/Tuesday lost days, and I apologize for that, but sometimes shit happens. I got the final chapter of Aisling's Antics off to its commissioner, and I'm hoping to get the first of two back owed Pack commissions done either before I head to poker tonight or after I get back from it. I still owe some other commissioned stuff, and I'll keep chipping away at that as I try and work through the backlog.

What I will guarantee, for the rest of the month, is the following: QT2:21, BB36 and QTPT19. I'll try and get the next Neon Stonehenge in there as well, but I feel less confident about that, and I definitely need to get back to Devil's Details for Agathon, who's been exceptionally patient with me while I'm trying to figure out how to land that ship, considering it's only for 4-5 more chapters left in it. There's an outline, but I want to guide it in and make sure it doesn't feel awkward. I'll see if I can get Breakpoint in there as well, but I'm already looking at this slate and thinking it's a lot, so if that doesn't happen, so be it. QT2:i4 was double long, AA10 came in long, so clearly I'm getting writing done, just not spreading it out.

Anyway, everyone in the comments, emails and direct messages posted that I should take and enjoy my vacation, so I did that, and I'll be getting my fingers back to the grindstone moving forward. I definitely feel rejuvenated, and I think i4, which was entirely written in transit, shows I've still got the fire in me.

Here's what's on deck for public releases:2/24 - CARP 6; 3/2 - Before The Storm 8; 3/9 - QT2:13, 3/16 - QTPT 14; 3/24 - QT:AA4, Neon Stonehenge 1, 3/30 - Morgana's Gift 17.

Hawaii trip huh? I hope you enjoyed it better than the tourists in Annabelle Hawthorne's latest installment.

Hawaii is cursed for tourists. When I was 17 my parent a took me with them, and it was nice, but the first day I was there, I fell asleep for 3 hours on Waikiki beach. I literally was the color of a fire engine. It rained that night and steam was rising off my back. (Seriously. My parents have a picture of it somewhere.) I was miserable for the next few days as I waited for the burn to heal. Glad your misfortune waited until the last day though.
