heyo pups! things are IN MOTION! literally! banana inquiry is hard at work on the combat, and now jones can actually follow you around and start combat if you're not fast enough!

on my side i've been working on the regular jones encounter's attacks:

he has a claw swipe for both his hands

a bite

and a belly bump that makes you fall on your ass, disabling your legs for one turn

of course, i've been also working on your character action animations:

here's the animation for the guarding command

kick and punch, it's all in the mind

and the grope command. I'm not sure about what would work best for this, i've made two versions. 

a window-in-window mini cutscene

and following banana's suggestions a more abstract, but less immersion breaking version

what do you think would be best ingame? let me know!

I think the more abstract version will work best in keeping with the game play design

I do like seeing the abstract version since we can see hiis belly getting rubbed more. But if the window version of it lets you see more parts of the body being fondled I think I'd like that better

I think I like the hand during combat personally, However that window animation might be good for harder to see parts or actions like if you had a smack butt action or such, I love how this is coming along though! Great work

I prefer the abstract over the cut scene version, feels more interactive and less immersion breaking. Also i didn't expect jonesin to be so fast when chasing the player.

Oh, I just loved the window-in-window one, really like seeing the jiggle of whichever bodypart you're groping, but since you've already drawn it, you could lower the window in the screen and show his blushing face in the back, because it is also lovely

And also might be easier to implement bodypart worship like this (?), you could grope his ass, or his feet, or for other bosses some other bodyparts that might be hidden in the spritework without needing to redraw the entire sprite or something. But I know nothing about this type of thing so idk

Why not both? Move the window in window to a corner and keep his cute blushing expression!

Really like the 2nd option, the cutout window is neat but seems a big "generic" unless you update the in-window design to match the character getting felt up

I feel the more abstract one may be easier to work with across all foes, requiring less work animation-wise for foes with different body types (and if you're not in werewolf form too). That said, the window-in-window one is really nicely done, so it'd be a shame to lose out on it. Hard to say.

The more abstract looks quite more nice looking to me. Mini cutscene is nice, but i just thing that abstract does apply better to enemy battles. Maybe you can still use mini cutscene for the use of items for the player. Still really awesome work you guys XD!
