Well, there you go! Vol 34 in all its glory! The mortal world and the astral world have merged and become a living nightmare for regular people. Fun little detail. If you look at the view of the world from space, the continents and islands of that world are exactly like our own. It's crazy! Ok, from the beginning. One of the reasons I love Silat is that he, like Guts questions everything and is willing to not put his trust in a dodgy power. He is a champion of his humanity and therefor all humanity. Ganishka has transcended his apostle form to be a god and went mad in the process. The chapter with his back story is fantastic! I just love the treatment Miura did for this whole section. One of the few examples of pictures telling the story instead of text. Yeah, Irvine, the reverse centaur, is still hot. Even in his apostle form. "Man, where is Skull Daddy?" then he appears!! and proceeds to fuck up royally! Griffith/ Femto just used that sword strike to kill Ganishka and merge the two worlds. Now it's a very dangerous world indeed!! I just can't imagine being a poor peasant farmer and having to deal with dragons eating your sheep!! The panels of the Godhand when the worlds merge: 1. Slan, 2. Conrad, 3. Ubik ( its also a scene from the paining Earthly Delights by Bosch) and of course the big brain 4. Void.
