Oh these are some fun chapters! First, thanks for the extras, congrats on your promotion and also, take time if you aren't feeling up to reading. As Farnese would say, " Self-care is part of your duty." Something like that. Ok, I just have to get a rant off my chest. It's a funny one too. The cake that Princess Charlotte makes on the battlefield is called a Baumkuchen. There is no way she baked that on the battlefield! It was in a photo of some of the stuff you could buy at the museum gift shop where they were having an exhibit on Berserk's art. It was this cake with a portrait of Griffith on it! I thought it was cute and funny to have that there. I do like that cake though, if you see it at the Asian bakery, you should try it if you haven't. I like it with hot tea. I think its funny that Isidro has no idea who Guts is. I think some of the others have an idea, but he never talks about himself. He is not the important one in his mind, Casca is. They don't know where he came from, what the relationship with Casca is, who she is, that they even have a kid! He is a mystery to them. Remember, Guts wasn't known by his name like Griffith was, he was known as the 100-man slayer. I love this part with the kid's adventure/ side quest! The two sides meeting and sharing a child sized adventure to rescue other kids form stupid adults is just wonderful. All that time, Guts is waiting in the wings for his "kids". Really, he gives off bored parent at the park vibes. He is just there sitting on a bench watching his daughter bond with another girl and his son picking a fight with the other boy. So wholesome! I love that he didn't interfere and let them work things out on their own as well. So, who was that knight taking a nap in the boat? It was Azan! He was second in command under Farnese in the Holy Iron Chain Knights. Also yes, Sonja is not my favorite, she can be a jealous bitch, but I think she is somewhat of a weak link on the Hawks side. The fact that she can read minds means that she can experience to some degree what others have experienced. Just keep that in mind. She having made a tentative friend on the other side is good too. Just file that away for later. I also have to say that we have not seen this play out yet to date. I just know that there is no set up without a payoff. I hope we see it soon. Schierke in her new dress is sooooo cute!! I also like to see them at a dinner table eating even if it is in a canteen. Another Star War reference?? So far, we have had, Schierke using a jedi mind trick on the guards, and now this bar fight, also Puck turns into random Star Wars characters from time to time. Anyway, Guts defending his little found family from those creeps is what I live for! Now he officially has three kids, his own, and two adopted, whether they know it or not! :D We leave off with a magic lesson for Farnese. To Invision an apple in one's mind.
