Version 0.6.8 brings the new Sticker Mode as well as Base64 encoded image support.

New Features:

  • Sticker Mode

The Sticker Mode allows you to cover censored areas with images (stickers) of your choice.
The extension comes with a fruit and an emoji sticker pack with over 60 stickers in total.

Feel free to upload your own images or create entire sticker packs on your own.
You can export your packs to share them with others or import packs made by other users.
You can also change the chance a sticker is drawn, mix sticker packs or give stickers a key word and draw stickers based on your favourite key words.

The Sticker Mode works with videos, local files and gif but not with reverse mode.

  • Base64 encoded image support

Some times images in HTML pages are encoded into a string and embedded directly in the page. These images are not intercepted by FireFox extension, a blind spot so far. Unfortunately the first page of google images used Base64 encoded images, probably the first page many users visit to check if the extension works. In v0.6.8 we solved the Issue as we combined the local file censoring mechanism and the video scanner function to find such images and cover them.
You can find this option under 'advanced', it is enabled by default.
(unlike the video scanner it will only scan once after the page load and might not yet catch encoded images which are loaded later)

  • Reset Configuration

You can now reset your entire configuration back to the default settings under 'help'.

  • Third Party API

Kinda experimental for now, I will talk more about this in a future post.

The Emoji Pack is based on Twemoji (same emojis discord uses).

The Fruit Sticker Pack was made by a professional artist especially hired for PuryFi.

Thank you all very much who support my project : )
