Tita Josie - Thank you for you reaction, as usual!!! I do not know how to say good bye to the Eighth Sense. It was a wonderful moment of cinema. I was thinking why people loved the series so much and realised that despite the painful story of Jae Won, the drama was full of positive messages aimed at young audience. Funny, all of the characters were the conduits of those messages: The therapist to JW: “Go and fix yourself first and then you will think of another step”. The restaurant boss to JW: “there are only two things you can’t organize no matter how hard you try – health and money, so if you have these two – go and organize your life. Live your life as you want to live it”. Ae-ri to JH: “Think why he acts like this, don’t rush him”, “make a good memory for him”, “ don’t listen to toxic people (Eun Ji) taking away your confidence”. Joon Pyo: “Maybe he protects you…” Even Eun Ji (omg): “ Follow your senses”… There were other messages too. The Conan Gray song “The Story”. The beginning is actually very sad: “they were just sixteen, when the people were mean, so they didn't love themselves, and now they're gone headstones on a lawn”. We understand what it means – headstones on a lawn, right?…Because of mean people.. But the end of the song was optimistic, saying “yes, the world is not funny, not pretty, not sweet or perfect, but you will see it will work for you and me..” Even during the presentation of Ji Hyun “I’m a Cyborg, but that’s ok” (gosh, I actually deliberately went and watched that movie!!), JH was saying: “Through the portrayal of a colourful (!!) psychiatric hospital, we can conclude that the message from the art director was the following: Psychiatric hospitals don’t always have to be gloomy, it’s ok to be colourful, Adam and Eve (meaning “everyone”) can both live the way the want to live”.. This clearly is addressed to those who are afraid to get help, isn’t it? They wanted to give everyone the happy ending because as Tae Hyung said at the party it was all about “forgiveness and reconciliation”. Yoon Won got a job and a perfect boyfriend (Joon Pyo is her ideal match in my view 😊), all bad boys and girls got some sort of redemption. Jae Won recovered and Ji Hyun got his love back. They even addressed the issue of going in the open: “Is it okay for you if people know about us”, dating of younger guys/girls (“it is two-edge sword”) and telling clearly to your partner that yes, "we are dating". Because some people need to hear it clearly. Everything got resolved, and it would almost feel unrealistic, but what Jae Won said at the end put it back into reality: “ We just need to try and see if it works”. So at the end of the day nothing is guaranteed and everything can go wrong. But it should not stop you from trying… They gave us all hopes they could. They said all the right words. And they showed the beautiful love story… What else can we wish for? Maybe a glass of champagne to celebrate the beauty and goodness which exist in this world? :) PS: sorry for a long post, but I just thought this drama surpasses all others we used to, so it called for some reflection. PS2: I read somewhere that it took 15 takes for that kiss at the end of the 9th episode. Guys…15 takes 😉)). And if you think – they were paid for it (as actors)… Tough job )) PS3: ah, for those interested - the two directors said that they have written 3 more scripts, one of them another BL, but they did not know when they would be able to make it. My god, given the universal success of the 8th sense, I suspect they now should be able to find all possible support to create another wonder. We'll be waiting..

Gonna miss this series, I agree Tita Josie, this one has now replaced Once Again as my top Korean BL. There's so many lately that I'll have enough to make a top ten list soon. I cried on episode 9 as well and that kiss was everything! I absolutely loved the music in this series. I'm also glad he was able to clear up the issues with Tae Hyun and Eun Ji more so for his sake so he can feel at peace and slowly transition away from them in the future if he so chooses.

Jae Won “killed them with his kindness” so to speak - Tae Hyung and his ex. He turned out to be the most mature. I also believe that the days he was hanging out with TH letting him pay with his mom’s card are over.

Sooo, I didn’t get the epic takedown of Eun Ji that I was hoping for, but all’s well that ends very, very well! Yoon Won and Joon Pyo? Hahahahahaaaaaaaa. That was quite the party for her; job, surf club’s back, boy toy, hahahahaaaaaa! I still kinda hoped she was a lesbian and maybe Bit Na might work for her… well, not to be, but it’s time to celebrate anyway, what a great show! Not sure I want a season two, but it would be fun to follow Ji Hyun and Jae Won around to the tower and all the other sites Ji Hyun wants moments at! A Christmas special catching up with them Yoon Woo would be good enough for me!
