I actually really like that they didn't give a "reason" why Wen fell out of love with Alan. Like I said above it allows the viewer, based on their own experiences choose how they feel about it. But also, sometimes there is no ONE thing that can cause a relationship, even a long term one to end...it's not always cheating or abuse, sometimes partners, even MARRIED partners, do drift apart and one or both partners decide to stick it out upto or util one or both decide it's over and leaves or dies. Either way...BOTH are miserable.

I like the idea of Li Ming taking the entire walk to the boba tea stand talking up Wen cause he's TOTALLY a Wen/Jim shipper...LOL. I love the scene with Win LiMing and Heart as well. One other thing, I like Gaipa, but to be fair, Jim has shown more interest in Wen with some mixed signals than he has with Gaipa. Yet Gaipa still actively pursues Jim, just in less direct ways. I mean if he didn't like Jim, I'm don't know that anyone would put up their property as collateral for someone who even being close "like family" isn't family, unless mom already considers him family cause of Gaipa's feelings for him.

I saw somewhere else, where someone sad Wen was "not a good person" and TBH, I think too many folks are invested at Alan or Wen being "evil" or bad, but in life it's NOT always the case. Although I get it's a common trope in BL, but I like the realism of this series so far, on classism, love and relationship. P'Aof and P'Best as screenwriters did TOP NOTCH writing on this one! BTW, that was P'Aof as the waiter who asked Alan/Wen if they wanted him to "rekindle their flame" Wen's answer "No Need. We're done." was "chef's kiss" perfect! That's great writing!

On Jim and LiMing, I usually sided with Jim in many moments with LiMing. But this ep, I fully cannot side with Jim on his interaction with LiMing. I understand he feels that LiMing should have been more mindful with Heart but the conversation they had at home was def a case of Jim being "unbendable" as Wen called him once. Also, I feel like Jim could have defended LiMing at Heart's house when the parents accused him of being a liar or putting words in Heart's mouth. Jim wants LiMing to come to him and talk to him, but he's not putting the effort to listen or hear LiMing when he is in the right, like he was in this case.

I agree Tita Josie...Heart's parents were such trash for that. Thank goodness Heart met Li Ming cause those parents are horrible. I mean I know gender norms are bullshit, but on average mother's do the most for their children, at least in my life.

I did see a comment somewhere that was really funny but true. Jim is obvious the type who picks up strays and helps out with an unwanted pregnancy, raises his nephew, gives free food at the end of the night instead of making a profit, so of COURSE he's not gonna let Wen stay with him. Also, I had the same thoughts I think it's gonna be a camera trick...you will see Jim seeing them kiss, but NOT a direct shot of them kissing. GMMTV have got to be saving the "first kiss" shot for MSP, because they know people are waiting for it!

Sofia Sila

Do you think P'Aof is going to win the race and have them kiss a day before MSP finale?

I so love the story line between Li MIng and Heart. That a deaf character has been introduced is novel. Heart's parents are incomprehensible. As for Wen and Alan, I remain on Alan's side. Five years plus and Wen let things get to this point. Sorry to hear you say that you too were an "Alan" as I once was. Bah. I can understand the thoughts Jim may be having. What if he gets with Wen and Wen tosses him aside in a few years for someone else after a drunken one night stand. Jim would be better off with Gaipa. BLs are maturing.

Well written, well acted, well shot, well directed, this is such a pleasure, even when things are tense. My favourite scene; Wen watching Li Ming and Heart at the food court, impressed with their tenderness. Wen is our proxy. We’re all watching. We all love them!

Craig White

It’s different in every family. Not that my mother’s not giving, but my dad was always naturally more outgoing, generous, and affectionate.

Thailand is particularly traditional in treating those older than you with respect, sort of no-matter-what, and Jim totally buys into that system. Li Ming doesn’t totally reject that, but he obviously sees limits to it that Jim doesn’t recognize. Jim’s got some learning to do! It’s hard changing behaviour you’ve practiced your whole life…

Re: Aof as the waiter at the restaurant. Yes! AND if was Au, director of My School President running the Boba Tea concession at the food court! Ha!

I feel like we are missing some parts of the storyline between Alan and Wen. We still do not know what it is that Alan was doing with Wen in mind that went too far, he talked about it with Gong as well. Either way I do think Alan is more in the wrong. Whatever the grievances he might have with Wen to involve Jim and possibly his livelyhood in this is just low. Although I completely understand his hurt.

Vita

I feel bad for Alan and the fact he keeps on asking for reasons and opportunities. Unfortunately, when someone stops loving their partner, is not one specific thing. There is, though, one specific moment when you realize that for awhile you had not included him in any of your envisioning (not the future nor even the day to day). Admitting to yourself you no longer love someone that still loves you and has not done ‘anything wrong’ is hard too! You still love them but are no longer ‘in love’ with them. I feel for Wen.

Kim Pierce

I’ve been saying that! That’s why I was so pissed at the parents! I picked that up way back..mom just writes everything and dad left everything to her. How do you not help your son adjust to a new lifestyle and help him to be independent just in case something happens to you…Ming took the time and love to make him feel loved and important in just a couple weeks. I’m proud of Wen for finally making this decision to leave. I think the statement that Gong made when he said you meant well but should of asked him if he wanted it was that marriage with the rings. Wen did it just to make him happy and after his ways over the years he fell out of love because he didn’t have an identity.

TitaJosie

Yeah that's what I felt too. It was a lot of small things that added up and made Wen fall out of love. 💔

TitaJosie

Oooh I didn't notice that it was Aof! I mean the scene was dark, but still. It was a nice cameo. 🥰💖

TitaJosie

I agree. Jim should have defended Li Ming in that scene after the accident. 👀😬

TitaJosie

I actually had to think afterwards if I was being too hard on Heart's parents. But yeah, personally I would not have done what they did. 👀😬

TitaJosie

They are indeed! Well, we've had mature ones for a while now with other production companies, but for GMMTV at least they're finally getting to this point. 💖

TitaJosie

It really broke my heart to fully grasp what the parents did to Heart. 😭💔
