Spot on @luke Only thing I disagree on, is the leso saying girls can box too. When girls are out numbered in a group they usually hit back with comments like that. I didn't feel like there was SJW influence. Nothing like Captain Marvel rubbish. Remember the female gangster in The Wire? She was a beast!!

I liked your assessment Hatman, but I do think you are a little stuck in the 90's. As Luke said, you might have forgotten that Dris had a stroke. His disability and drug habit made him a liability, hence he was sidelined after he had a passed out when he was supposed to be the look out on the house robbery. With the African mum, you do get placid characters also in the community. I know that's not seen as the norm. Also, with the football agent, the guy he broke out of prison was his brother-in-law. That coupled with his brother being a ruthless killer in season 2, made it believable that he still dabbled in the underworld. If he was a new character, without the back story, then that would definitely be unbelievable. The leso outing her sister showed her loyalty. Problem is there was no character development showing why she was so loyal. Maybe it was because of her history with Dris. Even if it was, why would she extend it to Dushane? So I agree with you, it wasn't realistic. Finally on the Manchester set up. I understood it to be a real exchange. The Manchester gang screwed them over with giving them paper instead of money. That's why the leso says 'what we going to do about this' at the end of that that scene, and they plan over to the paper filled rucksack. Finally on the point about other forms of representation of normal black life, go create a series bro. You've got good ideas.
