Mondo - 4 (Patreon)

The city is abuzz with excitement. Looks like Mondo's jerky ways have transformed another innocent girl into Kaiju. Oh well, the citizens are thirsty for a good fight. But this is no timid bunny. Rabbid intends to make sashimi out of Mondo and serve a feast to her family.

This is based off one of the episodes from the original Mondo concept. If you recall the concept is about me dating some cooky characters and always mishandling relationships. My girlfriends eventually get upset to the point they transform into kaiju. The characters are based off real people and the Kaiju are based on their personalities. I get pummeled at first, but I acquire a mech and start training to fight kaiju so I can continue dating. Fortunately, Mondo's story arch has him do away with his jerky ways, but not completely :P  

I'm really happy with how this piece ended up. It's quite chaotic, yet charming, and I that's just how I feel about Tokyo. I loved aimlessly exploring the city. If you get off the train and just start walking you can discover so much cool stuff. But after a day in the city I would always be completely exhausted and happy to return to my cozy suburb town. 

Well, this is the last piece of the series. I might return to it someday but I'm spent. This is definitely the most ambitious pixel art series I've taken on. Each piece took an extreme amount of focus and energy. I don't think I could have mustered the motivation to execute this level of quality without your support. Thank you so much!
