Love these basing videos. Are you going to be dropping YouTube as the hosted video player now though? This Patreon player seems to have less features; I can't resize it, and I can't stream it to my TV/Roku like I could with the unlisted YT vids.

Hey Benjamin. Unfortunately over the past year or so my videos have become a popular target for re-uploading and sharing on public sites so I am now forced into a position where I will be uploading the majority of future videos to Patreon. I really wish this wasn't the case and it's unfortunate that a very small minority of people have ruined it for the rest. Looking around at other content creators it seems to have become common practice nowadays to upload to Patreon. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, hopefully in time Patreon will continue to add features that make it more accessible as it's still a fairly new feature. - Dave

Hi Dave. Thanks the quick reply, and there's no need to apologise for anything. I figured that would likely be the case, and I totally understand your position. I've been meaning to get a second monitor for a while now. This just gives me an extra incentive ;-)

This would be great for cursed city. I’ll definitely be trying this out.

Hopefully Patreon improves its video player soon. I cant watch full screen because its just not productive and its way too small in the browser. Thanks for the vid, I have been trying to find that foam stuff for a while but no luck so far, good to know there are some other solutions using putty.

First off awesome videos! Love the basing ideas and quality is definitely the best I've seen. I did want to add my feedback as well in regards to the patreon video player. I share the same sentiment that a few people have already pointed out, the YouTube videos are much more user friendly and not having a sort of middle ground size that YouTube provides is unfortunate. I totally understand the reasoning and I would probably consider doing the same thing if I was in your shoes but I just wanted to leave my 2 cents.

Love both the basing videos Dave, definitely going to be giving both a go with future projects. For the people who want a slightly larger video player without going full screen, if you hit the picture-in-picture button you can drag and resize the video however you'd like. Obviously not perfect but I found it quite useful

An alternative to using baking paper to prevent sticky things from sticking to your desktop is to use a silicon baking mat (like the kind you put under cookies). Reusable and doesn't shrink or wrinkle like baking paper can when it gets wet when using things like DAS, etc. Edit: also, that Skaven Plague Priest conversion by Max is absolutely amazing.
