Exile of Aphrodisia 2023 new feature -- cursed artifacts! (Patreon)

It's been a bit since we've posted--hope everyone is enjoying their winter holidays! A new Tycoon poll will be coming soon, but before that, we want to share a bit of something we've mentioned before in the past for the Exile of Aphrodisia 2023 remake: Cursed Artifacts!

Cursed Artifacts are high-risk, high-reward unique items that the party can collect along the trail, currently only from scavenging, but in the future encounters may give them as well. A cursed artifact "lashes out" at party members periodically, similar to Instincts Kick In events. At first these cursed artifacts have only weak curses that do little to harm the party (and may even benefit in certain ways!), but the more times the artifact lashes out--as well as the longer they stay with the party--the stronger they grow in power, increasing their danger level. Higher danger results in stronger curses. Curses can impact party members' health, morale, lust, or at weaker power levels, result in short-term transformations.

Cursed artifacts have four danger levels: minor, concerning, considerable, and critical. At Critical danger levels, expect to start instantly and permanently lose party members to various transformations and curse-related mischief.

You can discard cursed artifacts at any time if they become too dangerous for your party to keep. Better, if you can make it to a landmark that has the new Artifact Merchant, you can sell your cursed artifacts for quite a sum of gold--and the more power an artifact has accumulated, the more the merchant will pay you for it!

Currently in the game are two cursed artifacts:

- Bracelet of Bovinity. A lot of lactation and transformation into, unsurprisingly, full on milk cows.

- Missy Viola's Opera Gloves, floating disembodied gloves that had a tendency to slap and spank party members into submission--but also to pleasure them!

We're aiming for at least two more cursed artifacts by the planned release date. One is already is in progress: the Staff of Serpents, all things snake!
