So, Tom is a little older than his character here (1962 vs 1964), so he's already in his 60s. He would've been around 29/30 depending on when they filmed this movie. He does look super young here (I mean, he's younger than you and me, here, Travis 🤣🤣🤣). He's around 5'7/8".

I don't think I've ever watched this entire movie until now! I know I've seen that final scene before, but I don't think I've seen the rest of it before. So good! Gotta say, a lot of the characters were ash-holes in this, but none of them hold a candle to Colonel Jessep in that department! So smug, so arrogant, so sure that he couldn't lose his position, then that final scene happens! This is how you make a movie! All the performances in this movie were great, but we gotta give a round of applause to Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson 👏👏👏 If you think about it, Jack was barely in this movie, but his presence is felt so strongly when he is in it! Also, say what you will about Tom the person, but Tom the actor is the man! I'll end this on a fun note I just read about: the two marines that take Colonel Jessep into custody were actual marines at the time the scene was filmed
