I love this movie, a film like this shows that Nicholas Cage can play a normal guy, lol. He's usually loud and makes funny faces but here he is very subdue. And I thought they had really good chemistry. I love how they were just good people and they get their happy ending. And also I love how they actually read all the the letters, they don't just take the money out and toss the letter, it showed they cared about every person that gave them money. I know Bridget Fonda from a very good thriller in the 90's called Single White Female. And another film that really showcases Nicholas Cage's range that doesn't get talked about enough and is very underrated is The Family Man, it is so good and it would actually be perfect for the holiday season. A great fun fact, this is actually based on a true story, a veteran cop really did share his lottery wins with a waitress, he had asked her to pick 3 of the numbers while he picked the other 3 and he joked that he would split it with her if he had one as a tip. The next day, his wife came in with the lottery ticket, they split 3 million each. The only difference here is they were never romantically involved at all, they were both happily married, they just became good friends. But I think it works for the movie though.
