Love the haircut!

The dirt bag criminal in this episode was played by Jason London who was in a ton of things as was his twin brother Jeremy. So you may have seen him in something or his brother 😂

Also, the way you knew something was going on with Elle, so right on !

I always feel so bad for Elle, she obviously has gone through so much that she's not dealing with well (Reid, Morgan, Gideon and Hotch have all noticed it), yet she was still working this job and put into this position. And while yes she is 100% in control of her own actions, I definitely agree that majority of the fault lies with Hotch and Gideon for putting her out there. It's one of those situations where you feel for her and understand why she did what she did, but it's still...not a good look. I also think it's a good indicator of how, while we enjoy the BAU team, they're not quite as in sync as we'd hope. They get along for the most part, but there are things they miss about each other and things they don't understand, which leads to mistakes like this.

I do feel bad for Elle but it's defiantly not majority Hotch and Gideon's fault. She didn't follow orders, begged them to let her back on the team in the other episode and refused help when Reid and Gideon tried to help. She should not have been put in the house but she is the only female agent in the team and they trusted that she knew her boundaries. What she did is completely understandable and he got what he deserved but she chose to do it that way and had so many opportunities to seek help for the trauma she went through. (And I kinda think she was planning to murder him but that's just my theory lol)

i think what annoys me the most about Elle is that the writers don't make us care about her. She obviously had the most traumatic thing happened to her in the first 2 seasons (out of the characters) and what she did here is definitely not okay but her reaction could be accepted by the audience if the writers had done a better job at writing her character as someone we care about. I don't think lots of criminal minds fans really care about Elle and i think most of it is because the writers kind of didn't know what to do with her? idk i feel like at this point in the show we like every main character, and we would have a different reaction if it was Hotch or Morgan. but imo, they never really made us root for Elle..

As much as I'd love to agree with you on the superiors being at fault in this case, you have to take a look at what type of job she's working, it's not a typical job, it's not only in law enforcement, she's on a special task force, a specialized role with not very many openings. IF she tells Hotch and all her associates that she is fit to return and doesn't want to take the advice of everyone else on the team that she needs to talk about what went on, or just take a step back, then that puts the superiors in a tough spot, because in that line of work, IF you come back to rejoin the team, the superiors have to assume you're fit to do the job. As for finding someone else to do the undercover job, Elle was the only one the team could trust, the worst thing that could happen is the team sends a different person that they have no idea what they are going to do in different situations, atleast with Elle the team has a general idea of how she will react, because they have worked with her on multiple cases and she's been with the team for a little while.
