I just love this show so much

"I'm a homofillopian" "I've never been asked out in a gay bar before!" "Really? I've been asked out like 9 times in the past hour!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣This show is so funny! 🤣🤣🤣I binged up to the end of s2 (will probably do some more bingeing tonight) and as soon as Ben said that about the amount of times he was asked out, I literally said, "I believe it" 🤣🤣🤣On another note, this show does a very good job dealing with difficult topics. I'm not sure I've ever seen a show deal with a parent struggling to accept their child coming out so well

Lydia overcoming homophobia in 10 seconds is iconic! And I LOVE how they handled Elena coming out. Both Penelope and Lydia weren't actually feeling totally okay with it at first, but they BOTH kept that to themselves and didn't say anything about it to Elena. Both of them, despite their discomfort, put Elena's feelings first and didn't ruin her coming out. I think that proves that despite their initial feelings, they're good people who love Elena. And I'm glad they had Penelope working through it and worrying about why she was uncomfortable and all that. Like everything else, it felt very real. But I love that she came around in the end and realised that she wasn't missing out on things, she was just going to experience them differently. Cuz it makes sense, there are things that you'd expect to experience with your daughter as a mother, and it would be hard when you realise it's not gonna happen the way you thought it would. But she's still gonna have all these amazing experiences with Elena. Just no pregnancy scares! Which is a good thing! And it's great that she has a friend she can call for this sorta thing, and that she wasn't judgemental towards her struggle at all. She was just there to help and wasn't immediately angered by the fact that Penelope was struggling like that. Because it would be very easy to misunderstand and actually think she was homophobic. But the fact that she was so upset with herself and panicky, I think that tells us all that she's not. And poor Schneider just became a parent. I love his relationship with the family and how much he cares about the kids and about not letting Penelope down. And the way he got so overprotective of Alex was great.
