I think the charm of this season and what sets it apart from the first two is that is based on people who really existed. The show got a lot of things right, like King George's illness and their 15 children. It's debated by historians if the real Queen Charlotte was actually of African descent and still remains a mystery but with some of her portraits, she has some African features but I don't know if we'll ever truly know. I also love how they included the Christmas tree because the real Charlotte brought the tradition of the Christmas tree to England from Germany. I think little facts like these make these characters seem more real and relatable.

"Gathering dust." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣You, right, shady, shady, shady! "Lying liar who lies." 🤣🤣🤣It's like Charlotte transforms from a strong, intelligent woman into a flustered young girl when she's with George. "You ain't gonna make a baby that way!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣When they started going at each other in dinner hall (or whatever it's called), I thought it might be a dream sequence, but nope! 🤣🤣🤣"We can't talk about balls and then use 'dangle.'" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Well, Lady Danbury certainly doesn't hold back! Yeah, George definitely has some sort of neurological condition...that's very sad 😢

Just a few things to note : king George’s illness is debated because they did not have definitions back then - many say bipolar but it was only really known as some sort of mental illness. Also for all of his life he never took a mistress and always shared his bed with charlotte (abnormal back then) and they wrote love letters to each other until the end.
