HSMTMTS | 3x5 'The Real Campers of Shallow Lake' (Patreon)

YEYYY ive been so excited for this ep its one of my favourites out of this season!! 100% watching when i finish work❤️❤️

2023-07-26 19:31:28 I usually wait until the end of the day to watch your reactions but I just had to put down what I was doing and watch this immediately lol. Such a FANTASTIC episode, my favourite of the season. Ricky and Gina's chemistry just shines for me. I know there are some EJ and Gina shippers which is totally fine but personally Ricky and Gina just have a fire and a banter that's unmatched. The chemistry in that duet was amazing!! And yes that is really a song from the Frozen Broadway show. I loved how they were all fighting for real within the fake fighting, that's what made the episode truly fun. Ricky actually slapping EJ was so funny, you're right about Ricky being so funny this season, I told you you'd come around to liking him again lol. It was interesting to see both Kourtney's and Ashlyn's reactions when they were confronted about their feelings. Kourtney didn't like people knowing about her anxiety and I understand that, I try to hide mine from people too. And Ashlyn hated the idea of anyone thinking she has a crush on Val so she got defensive, which says a lot. Also the reveal of EJ's name being Elton John is genuinely the funniest thing this show has done. Now the campers calling EJ Rocketman all season makes so much sense, genius. 😂 I love how they've made the audience care about what's going on with Maddox and Jet. These are such new characters who we've only known for 5 episodes but yet it feels like we've known them for so much longer than that. And I genuinely do hope that they can sort everything out between them. Also Jet's song was beautiful, I downloaded it straight away the first time I watched this. His voice is gorgeous!! And that ending of Ricky being caught on camera confessing his feelings for Gina was so unexpected. Loved that. This season is SO damn good and there's still a lot to come. I look forward to the next episode, it has my personal favourite original song of the season in it. 😊

These young actors are so good at "being bad" at manufacturing drama. And, of course, real drama creeps in. Ricky really is quite funny this season. That slap 🤣🤣🤣

If you're interested in the music from the Broadway version of Frozen, I highly recommend "Monster". It's another Elsa ballad and it's a really great number. Sadly it didn't make it into HSMTMTS, but it probably didn't fit lol

Monster is a great song!! But you're right, probably wouldn't fit. I'm glad they did What Do You Know About Love and Kristoff's Lullaby though. It's great that they didn't just use the movie songs. 😊
