I love your reactions to 9-1-1

Cadence

This is one of my favorite season finales of this show. The “Because, Evan” scene lives in my head rent free 😂🥲. I didn’t notice it in my first few watches, but I’ve seen other people point out that Buck rescuing Eddie is huge because he crawls under the truck to get to him; the truck that has caused him a lot trauma in the past but he puts it to the side to get to and save Eddie.

Ugh, Buck and Eddie are just so good together! I mean, there's more than one type of love and these two are closer than brothers (I can attest to that having a brother of my own). The showrunners really do put these characters through a lot, physically, emotionally, mentally, just, everything, really! I feel for Maddie normally, but especially here in season 4! Get ready for season 5, Travis!

Fucking episode 4x14... what a ride. There's so much to unpack. The very clear Buck/Eddie & Bobby/Athena parallels, Buck staying with Chris; literally being a second parent to him, to Maddie's very real issues, to the very wonderful resolution to Nia's arc. My one negative of episode is Taylor kissing a newly traumatized Buck, but that's my psychology brain. And of course, as it is well known as - The Will Scene. That is legit one of my absolute favorite scenes, ever. I can't watch it without turning into a bawling mess. The layers to it, the weight it gives other scenes in retrospect (like in the S3 finale when Buck wanted to put himself in danger and Eddie firmly told him to stop.) and then he fuckin' drops the "because, Evan"? Calling him by his first name, for the first time! Like... I need to chew glass jfc. Buck & Eddie may be together with women, but they are completely each other's person through and through. Soulmates. Time for the crazy rollercoaster that is season 5!

Loved your reaction! I agree with the observation that Buck and Eddie are in a relationship and they just don’t know it. 😉In the last episode, Carla seems to pick up on something when they’re talking about Ana, and she tells Eddie to be sure it’s his heart that he’s following. And even though he’s in a relationship with her, it’s still Buck he wants to take care of his son. And he wants Buck to know how important he is to him and Christopher. Buck and Eddie. Those two have something special there. Maddie’s struggle is heart wrenching. At least Chim knows now. Nia‘a mom meeting Hen and Karen brought good closure to that storyline. Athena rescuing Bobby in the fire was fantastic! Albert emerging as the new fire fighter and the 118 there to congratulate him at the end was great too. I like that you love the characters of 9-1-1 and so are invested in their stories. Makes the reactions all the more enjoyable to watch!

"You evan'd him." lmao

Missy Johnson

I also love the part around 31:29 when buck, and athena give each other that look. Its funny like mom and son going to rescue dad.

Sherry Palmer

I have been binging this and now I am caught up. Must be time for you to do 5X1! 😆 🤣

Natalie Davis

I really feel like the writers missed an opportunity by not making Buck and Eddie gay and together. They are so good together...the perfect family with Christopher! When are you starting season 5?!

Mellie Lynne

Season 5?? Just got caught up here with you. I heard season 7 is coming out in March!

Kristina Fagan

Good Afternoon just finished season 4 when do we get season 5. Love your reactions.

Buck’s Mom: “You think you’re indestructible.” Taylor: “You’re not invincible.” Eddie: “You act like you’re expendable…” Eddie is the only one who truly sees Buck. Everyone else assumes that Buck acts recklessly out of some sort of savior complex or because they think Buck believes he can’t be beat. Eddie, on the other hand, sees that Buck doesn’t consider himself worth saving. He looks directly at Buck’s insecurity and says “you matter and even more so, there is someone who depends on you. Who’d care…my son.”

Between Buck crawling under the fire truck to drag Eddie to safety and that scene at the end about Buck becoming Christopher's guaradian. I don't have the words to express how I feel. These two have so much love for one another, whether it's platonic or something more, it's amazing!

"They love each other"There was a rumor-that sounds pretty legit- that Tim Minear actually wanted Buddie to happen then, but then left for Lonestar when it didn't happen. The shooting was his way of possibly setting it up. It could have been a beautiful way for Buddie to have happened. So I get why Tim was frustrated. But am glad he's back for season 7 writing <3
