Definitely my favorite episode of Season 4 aside from "that" Tina and Blaine scene as well as the Finn and Emma kiss. Personally loved that this episode was essentially a "reintroduction" to Santana. Even though she has been in episodes this season her scenes were often brief with a few performances mixed in. Now she is going to be seen more regularly the remainder of the season. Absolutely love the "Nutbush City Limits" cover/performance. It is personally my favorite Santana solo on Glee and easily within my top 20 favorite covers on Glee. "Girl On Fire" also featured in this episode is also another great Santana solo.

Annie Willow

Who does she think she is just barging into the loft and moving in? She’s Santana Diabla Lopez, that’s who. She does not ask permission. Also Rachel and Kurt would be crazy to turn her away if she’s going to be paying a third of the rent and like either of them could even try to tell her no and walk away unscathed. Brittany was absolutely right in not allowing Santana to stay in Lima even though she would love to have her close again. She knows that Santana would hate being a trainee coach and it would eventually kill her soul. The way that Brittany just knows her so well is beautiful. And Santana knows her her just as well. Brittany absolutely knows revenge, she dated Artie to get back at Santana two years ago. Shes not using Sam for revenge, though, but to keep Santana from staying in Lima. Brittany doesn’t want to be the one to hold her back from starting her adult life. I swear Brittany S. Pierce is the most emotionally intelligent person on the show.

It's crazy watching this after watching Alex and Lea at the Tonys. Alex being the first non-binary winner was so special and Lea's performance brought the house down, she got a standing ovation. It makes me proud when I see how far some of the Glee cast have come. Especially with Lea because she really seems to have changed and become a good person and it takes a lot to do that. Lea stood up for Alex and congratulated them and they took a photo together backstage and Alex only has kind words to say about Lea, so it seems like the past has been put behind them and I can't tell you how happy that makes me. 💕 As for this episode, it is another great one. But I still don't get why Rachel was the one they needed to bring down a peg or two, like yes she was being a diva but she wasn't being mean. It was Santana who needed that intervention. I love Naya, she has my second favourite voice on the show after Lea and her performances in this episode are AMAZING! But I just can't stand Santana's constant bullying that she never seems to learn from. I always love it when Santana sings but the character I just don't like at all. 🙈 Also Rachel DEFINITELY won the midnight madness sing off, she was SO much better than Kurt. Kurt's voice is lovely but it's soft and just doesn't match up to Rachel's power, especially on a musical theatre song. As for Tina, I think everyone hates the storyline of her pining over Blaine. But what happens in this episode does result in one of my favourite Glee lines in the next episode so it might've been worth it for that. I'll explain more when you post that one lol. And as much as I love Tina, Blaine should've won the diva off imo. His performance of Don't Stop Me Now was SO good. 🔥 I can't wait for the next episode, it's MESSY but AMAZING!! It's my third favourite episode of the season. The fallout from that Finn and Emma kiss is crazy and what happens after that... Wow. 👀

I remember being so angry that the writers made Finn and Emma kiss. Like wtf it was so unnecessary and the drama was just unneeded. I can’t wait for the reaction to the next episode ❤️

Why Santana moves in without even asking first? Don't ever try to apply logic to Santana XD. She's the most diva of them all. Now, how come Unique didn't have a solo? Shall we consider "Diva" a duet or trio or group song? I would've preferred to see her and even Kitty perform something over whatever boring thing Kurt and Rachel sang. They're lucky Santanna arrived. Even Britt is such a Diva onstage, it's a pitty they cancelled her song and deleted a scene talking about Santana and how confused she was about her. She would've killed that performance if she was allowed. Here the Heather's audio of "I keep dancing on my own" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmE7ijOBmuU Btw, that song Santana sang with Sam is a Barbra Streisand song. I don´t mind Tina being infatuated with Blaine, she expressed her reasons very eloquently, except for that Vaporub scene, well, not even the rubbing but the stradling was super cringe. Why they did her like that? Lastly, I don't mind either Finn kissing Emma. They've got good chemistry and in real life they were close in age. She deserves better than Will and Finn needs to move on from Rachel plus Glee needs some drama at this point. It's like WHAT! but Okaaaay, at the same time. I like chaos. :-)

Actually I think it wasn't santana when she barged in. It was snooks her alter ego. Hahahaha

Angelina Sargent

Yeah the whole scenario didn't even feel like the actors were comfortable doing that scene. Like you could see Corey really hesitant to push it to the kiss like he had to force himself to do it. Fucking weird.

Ilsuk Yang

Oh Travis, your face when Finn kissed Emma 🤣🤣🤣! Also, Rachel won that midnight madness thing, no question about it, ok

Siobhan Linehan

Literally!! In reality everyone would've been on Rachel's side of the room. I love Kurt but let's be honest, it wasn't even close. 🙈

That Girl on Fire sequence is so cinematic, and Nutbush is fire. She came in like a wrecking baaaaaall.

I can’t with how the writers had Tina do that to Blaine and then made it seem like she was valid bc she’s obsessed with him and he’s gay?? Like be so super serious. Satire is not a good enough excuse for that one. So out of line. But there are some absolute bangers in this episode. Diva, Don’t stop me now, girl on fire. 👌 looking sooo forward to your reaction to the back half of season 4 though!!

I love most of the Tina songs but honestly they did Tina dirty this season with her hate spiral… and the Blaine thing.. I mean he’s gay he did have that one kiss with Rachel in the earlier seasons but it affirmed for him that he liked guys so this is to me Tina misplacing her love onto someone who won’t reciprocate it…

Having Santana headline the Diva episode is perfect. She's the badass diva who absolutely wants to crush the competition. I just watched Tina: The Tina Turner Musical and so I have to pay respect to her and the fact that Naya slayed that song. Becca and Alex both cite this performance and the first solo they had ever seen her perform and they say how mesmerizing she was to watch live. I wholeheartedly agree with you that she is a Goddess. And she proved again how great a duet partner she is by smashing that song with Chord. I swear she sounds good with just about anyone. Tina absolutely deserves a better storyline than this. To have her bring out her inner diva from the frustration of not being able to have a relationship with a gay man is just such a waste. She was a part of trying to talk Mercedes out of crushing on Kurt in season 1. I just wish they could have given her a viable love interest. Angry Tina is just not a good flavor for her. Girl on Fire is one of my favorite Santana solos. Naya makes it look so easy and effortless and the imagery in the background made it the perfect song for her to blaze her way to New York. Yes, she barged in, but that really is such a Badass Diva move and I'm glad that the New York storyline is getting and infusion of Santana. It's definitely needed.

“who approved this?!” santana. santana approved it and thats all that matters 🤣

The Rachel with the funny girl comment was pretty funny when u said it was foreshadowing cuz I just heard this past weekend that Lea Michele won a Tony award for Funny Girl

Travis Manning

She gave an awesome performance I heard but she wasn’t nominated because she took someone else’s place.

Ashley

I have a fun fact for this episode. Darren has made it clear he was just acting out the sick scenes of this episode and not really sick. Well that might be true except for Don’t Stop Me Now because he was running a 103 degree fever when they shot that number. He has said it was the hardest number he did on Glee. Also if you go back and watch when Darren is back to back with the guitar player you can see Kevin kicking his leg off to the side. You have to really be looking for it to see it.

Keynote

I personally hate the Tina and Finn storylines this season. Both characters definitely deserve better!

Staton Chapman

Santana was amazing this episode. I loved all 3 of her performances. But yea her at the end just moving in without asking was a bit much but we know Santana does what she wants lol

Flo

I completely forgot about the Finn and Emma kiss happening so I was just as taken aback as you lol I’m with you on the Madonna song! I absolutely hated it when it came out and that hasn’t changed since. Also the fact that she “stole” the riff from Gimme, Gimme, Gimme feels like a crime to me. I know it’s a reoccurring thing in music, but as a fellow Swede I feel offended on ABBA’s behalf lol. Tina absolutely deserved a different song, that song is so flat and boring and after songs like Nutbush City Limits & Don’t Stop Me Now, Tina was stuck with THAT???!!! Uuuugh

Sherry Palmer

I just want to say that nobody is going to hate you for having an opinion. That's why we watch!

Sam Dulisse

Madonna didn't steal from Abba. She straight up got personal permission from Bjorn and Benny to sample it. 🙃
