First season is 14 episodes (which is around what the average season of White Collar is), so not long, but not really that short either. White Collar is another show that's like an onion (I forget when this whole 'onion' analogy started on this Patreon 🤣🤣🤣). Yeah, the 'bro-ness' is strong in this one 🤣. I'm gonna be honest, I've never understood why you would spend a lot of money on comic books, hermetically seal them to keep their integrity, and, therefore, never read or even touch them. Like, what's the point of that? (I know the point, I just think there're better things to spend money on). Neal is such a jack of all trades and I love it. I mean, a character like Neal should bug me a lot more than he does, but he pulls it off man! Anyways, I'll continue to enjoy watching you peel back the layers of this onion ;)

I love this show! And your reaction!

My biggest pet peeve is how every episode the writers decide to threaten his job to send him back to prison. It's starting to get too repetitive and feels more like black mail instead of an arrangement.

I don't mind it so much in this episode, because - as Peter points out - Neal recently took that swan dive out of the judge's chambers and ran away, so no one trusts him right now. He's on a very short leash. To me, that was a good connection between this episode and the ones that came before it.

I love Neal's grins in this one. He's such a smooth talker and con man. Reminds me of the grin on his face when Peter asked him if he'd still be there when Peter got back from his vacation with El (in the pilot episode) - Neal grins and said, "Where else would I be?" I love how he often answers Peter's questions with a question instead of outright answering them in any way. Can't take the con man out of the man... ;)
