I do see both sides to this argument because neither Bellamy or Octavia are to blame for the way their lives were up on the Ark, it was mostly their mother Aurora, who chose to do things she did like putting all the responsibility which is hers as a mother onto a 7 year old Bellamy, making him not only a brother but a father figure to Octavia aswell, not only that she was using her body and sex as a commodity for favours like sleeping with that guard guy to get Bellamy that recommendation so she probably slept around a lot so that's how she became pregnant with Octavia so Bellamy and Octavia are technically half siblings with different dads which you can obviously tell by their skin tones as Bellamy is tan and mostly from asian decent as the Actor Bob Morley is half Filipino plus his dad is known as being dead in his file already, then there's Octavia who is white and they have a 6 year age gap between them so in the second flashback, Bellamy is a teenager and when we see him again as a cadet with the whole dance situation , he's 22 so currently now on the ground he's 23 which makes him the oldest and the only adult. The two things said things in anger so it's not either one's fault especially because all Bellamy was trying to is make his sister happy because she has been stuck in that room most of her life so he thought getting to go to that dance would be a change for her so Bellamy had good intentions but it just span out of control with unforeseeable circumstances and like he said, he didn't have a choice because Aurora had put that on him when she shouldn't have but when he said his life ended the day she was born was just anger from the escalated situation. It isn't Octavia's fault either because of her mother's actions because Aurora chose to do what she did even knowing about the second child rule but the only thing I wasn't okay with was Octavia blaming Bellamy for the Dance when she agreed to go, she couldn't have easily said no and nothing would have happened though they would be eventually found out so at the end of the day, it's neither of their faults and we should put all the blame on Aurora. It's completely unreasonable for Raven to be mad at Clarke especially because there's no need to point her anger at Clarke when she didn't know Raven existed, she hardly knows him and they are practically strangers and i love Clarke too but there was no need to make excuses for him like AT ALL. Even if he thought that he was never going to see Raven again, he couldn't have waited FAR longer to get with someone especially if he's known Raven all his life and he's her family. It's just fucked up on how anyone could do that to a person and Raven's not my favourite person but she doesn't deserve Finn, neither of them do!

Later seasons are waaay better, with S4 being my personal favorite with S7 in a very close second. Acting and writing gets a LOT better from S2 imo.

I feel like a lot of people misunderstand Bellamy's intentions and priorities until this episode (which is normal since this episode is trying to explain them) but I've always adored Bellamy. I love my Blakes.
