Yasss!!!! This franchise is one of my favorites! Personally, I think that each movie gets better, but there are differing opinions on that. So, onto some fun facts: So, there's some familiar faces in this. The piece of shit son is actually Theon Greyjoy (no wonder he was a piece of shit, lol). The aide to Viggo is Dean Winters, otherwise known as Mayhem from the State Farm commercials (I thought he was completely unnecessary to the movie). So, when John was talking to that ridiculously large doorman (I think he's around 7 feet tall) about losing weight, that was actually code for how many hostiles were inside the building. So, Marcus (Willem Dafoe) was actually saving John's life throughout the movie. He missed at the hotel because he was warning John about Perkins. I love your reaction to finding out what the consequences for "conducting business on Continental grounds" was (Perkins deserved it). The gold coins don't really have a monetary value, they're more like a trading system. There's a theory out there that these coins are worth more in certain hands. So, John Wick's gold coin would be worth more than a gold coin from a rookie assassin/goon. So, I requested this, and Into the Badlands episodes 1 and 2, as intros to the martial arts genre as a whole. They're not fully part of the genre, but I thought they would be a good way to dip your toe into the genre. You'll see a familiar face in Into the Badlands ;)
