So glad you enjoyed. I had a feeling you would. I am a sucker for historical films done well. Its crazy to me that I never heard of any of this before the movie. Our education system is definitely lacking.

Great movie and yes, Kevin Costner is a stud! There's quite a few other studs in this movie: Mahershala Ali (Colonel Jim Johnson), Glen Powell (John Glenn), and Aldis Hodge (Mary Jackson's husband, Levi Jackson). The 3 leading ladies portray 3 intelligent, creative, beautiful, and completely different ladies. Everyone, especially the aforementioned leading ladies, knocked it out of the park! Apparently John Glenn really did ask that Katherine double check all the calculations for the Friendship 7 mission, although this was weeks before the launch, not the day of launch as shown in the movie (Hollywood Hollywooding it up for ya). It actually took Katherine a few days to double check the calculations, not a matter of minutes/hours as shown in the movie (Hollywoodificiation again, lol). I'm sure there are other embellishments, but that's all I have for today. Glad you enjoyed the movie! By the way, Glenn Powell is also in the new Top Gun movie

I live for movies that can educate, inspire and entertain. This truly fits that description. I still remember that stirring moment at the 2017 Oscars when the three leading ladies came out on stage and were joined by the real Katherine Johnson. The 'allergy' kicked in then, lol.
