Kurt’s rant to Sebastian is hilarious because his actor eventually becomes the flash which is a show on the CW! Now though whenever I rewatch glee all I see from Sebastian is Barry Allen or grant gustin (the actor himself)

LOVE this episode!! Probably my favourite of season 3. The performances are all FIRE, I love that Sam is back, Rachel was amazing at helping Quinn, the little hug between Sam and Rachel in the last song always makes me smile and the story with Mike and his dad is beautifully done. Tina is amazing in this one too. It's just a great episode imo. 😊

Yes, we know that you're a Janet Jackson stan! That was apparent from your birthday livestream (not that I'm complaining 😉). I gotta disagree with you on this being the best Finn's ever sounded. I actually think he sounded better in the previous episode when he was singing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." But Finn in "Man in the Mirror" was pretty good. I've said it many times in the past that Finn is my least favorite male singer on this show (yes that includes Mike Chang), but he sounded good in this episode and the previous one. I gotta say, Finn and Artie are a very underrated combination. I don't know what it is, but they sound really good together. I love Mike's dad coming to see him perform and finally coming around on Mike's career path! I'm not gonna say that my dad is similar to Mike's dad, because he's not (he's actually very supportive, but also brutally honest, lol). It's actually my mom that's really similar to Mike's dad. Sky high expectations, moral standards, and the constant pursuit of excellence. But I know that she loves me. I do feel bad for the Troubletones and their loss, but I also feel like it was a wasted storyline for this season. They didn't really do a lot with it as the show focused more on the New Directions anyways, so I didn't really see the point, but that's just me. I felt like they sidelined Amber Riley even more by making her the "leader" of the Troubletones than she would have been if she just stayed with the New Directions. I feel like they've sidelined a lot of the characters, particularly the adult characters (like Mr. Schue). But it is what it is. I mostly watch this show for the music anyways. OK, rant over!

This is one of my favorite episodes because it features so many who don't get the spotlight. That's the genius of them splitting up the glee clubs like they did and also why they had the Shelby/Puck thing happen so that she basically had to exit and Mr Schue could stay the head of the club. It was pretty obvious to me that the New Directions were going to win because they only gave the Troubletones the one song and the New Directions got a full medley and of course a Jackson medley at that. Santana's welcome of Sam always gets me rolling. I love that we were shown that he took it in stride and it really doesn't have the bite that her earlier insults did (it was nice to see them hug). They say that Naya memorized that whole speech right before they shot the scene and never once messed up any lines. Apparently she did that before any scene that she shot. It was funny watching Harry (Mike) and Darren (Blaine) fight to keep their composure in that scene. We Are Young always gets to me because of the Cory and Naya parts in it. Naya sings "The angels never arrived, but I can hear the choir" just reminds me of the whole cast gathering lake side holding vigil before they found her, and there's a part in the full version where Cory and Naya sing together "Will someone carry me home tonight?" and it reminds me that Naya was found on the anniversary of his angel date. I will always believe that he helped from above to find her and carry her home.

I was looking forward to this reaction, and you didn't disappoint buddy! So many great moments and Sam is back yay!! The We Are Young performance is one of my favs because it really exudes joy! Despite the rumors, you can clearly see that the cast was like one big family! :)

I will never understand why Finn said "we got this" to Blaine, because that Troubletones performance was absolute FIRE. Also, that We Are Young performance will forever be my favourite group performance. They're all together in the moment; young, happy, carefree and safe. I wish it could've stayed that way forever..

Oh, I forgot to mention that the guy playing Sam's dad (John Schneider) is the same guy who plays Clark Kent's dad in Smallville!

Fun fact -- the girl from the 3rd show choir played Elphaba in Wicked for a couple years! I saw her last January; so good!

Right? I enjoyed Abc a lot and Man in the mirror is a phenomenal song no matter who sings it but they could've chosen a better Janet song and this out felt disjointed, but well, we know that they can't break t up he Glee club for production's sake eventos it was the most interesting thing to happen in the history of Glee.

one thing i kinda hate about the troubletones storyline is that they got out of the glee club bc they were tired of not being the spotlight, like finchel, but Santana and Mercedes joined a group to share all the spotlight and not give one bit to Brittany.. (you could also add Sugar but that would be debatable). just shows that Shelby did the exact same thing they were arguing about.. i know in the storyline it would be dumb to include more members bc Santana and Mercedes are a powerful duo, but it still is a bit weird to me :)

i personally think the new directions winning just gives a better understanding at "you don't need one or two stars, you need to be a team to win" and i know it sounds a bit childish and very much "the power of friendship won" but i like that! it shows that they can win without Rachel, without Mercedes or even without Santana. and it keeps pushing the fact that Finn is the true heart of the glee club (which i find is very true). also, i loved the Troubletones number, of course, but i thought the outfits were pretty horrible and the dancing, for a group with as much cheerleader as they have, not that great... to me, the New Directions won bc they were actually a glee club, focused on a lot of performers, it was very dynamic, and also just the fact that they did Michael lol + tbh their choreo was pretty fire (considering they're not the Troubletones or even Vocal Adrenaline)
