Tammy Miller

Wow! What an episode!!! I’m ready for the next one!

Watching this show for the first time along with you and definitely enjoying! I was pleasantly surprised with how they handled the Hmong story line. Reminded me of an interesting book I read in college called The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down about a Hmong family with a child with epilepsy and the cultural clashes with the doctors.

Seriously! Seriously!

Another of my favorites from this season! I love George getting some vindication after season 1 when his very first surgery went badly - at last, he stepped up and did awesomely! So proud of him! Yay, George! And I love this episode for Cristina too - her making up a porn-related story for her patient cracks me up every time. "There were these 3 naughty, sassy, very bad nurses..." LOL! "If you tell anyone I did this for you, I will kill you and sell your body parts for cash." 🤣 Sandra Oh is so damn funny.

Tyler Mckenzie

Great reaction! One of my all time favorite characters makes her first appearance at the end of this season and I can't wait to see your reaction to her.

A favourite of mine from this season! Isn’t the soundtrack amazing? Grey’s is so good for choosing good music for both emotional scenes and fun ones, especially in these early seasons.

Ohhh the famous pick me speech!!

I absolutely hate the scene in the stairwell between Derek and Meredith when he yells at her for not giving him a moment to process the possibility of cutting his wife of 11 years out of his life. He should’ve had that scene and given that speech to literally anyone other than Meredith. It was completely unfair for him to say those things to Meredith. He isn’t entitled to her understanding and compassion because of a problem he created. He wants her to feel bad about him having to choose between her, the person he promised that his marriage was over, and Addison, the person he publicly calls “Satan” ??? Meredith is not at fault here: she didn’t pursue a married man, hell, she didn’t even know he was married—and she asked questions about his life, which he purposefully chose to not answer! She should be allowed to be pissed, and she shouldn’t be guilted into feeling bad about being mad at Derek for not following through with a promise he made her (that he was ready to sign the divorce papers) I have empathy and compassion for Derek and what he is going through; especially the conflicted feelings about ending a relationship of over a decade, but I don’t agree with how he treats Meredith during this process. She is the last person who should be dealing with his feelings on this issue. That scene really made me dislike Derek for a while—actually I think I dislike him for most of this season lol.

I think Alex clams up because of the fact he knows he messed up his boards and so he starts second-guessing himself. Boards aren't just one test. They are like THE BIGGEST test in becoming a doctor. This is one of the more memorable George episodes for me. "Pick me! choose me!" I don't think I could have ever done that.
