Also you have to, not should or if you're up for it, HAVE TO react to Teeth and Easier live from the Vault (both versions are also on Spotify/iTunes/etc. and videos on YT), they hit so. Much. Harder.

I am in 5SOS heaven with you Travis! So much for you to explore and enjoy with these guys. Even the behind the scenes videos they do for every music video (only 3 mins on average) are the best at showcasing their personalities and humour and general love for each other and the art they create. It's also where you'll find amongst other places a lot of the inside jokes!! When you were asking about who was singing what, Luke is the main singer on all tracks (except for Wildflower which is Calum). CALM was released in March 2020, however "Easier", "Teeth", "No Shame" and "Old Me" were all released prior to the pandemic which is why the music videos weren't affected and why "Wildflower" as you said was done the way it was (there's even a little video about how they did that too). Also your fave "Old Me" has quite a few Easter Eggs in it for fans (which I'll let others elaborate) except to say that the end scene was literally filmed at the "Fire Fight Australia" concert in Sydney as they walked out on stage to raise money for the catastrophic bushfires we had here and it was just before the pandemic started going around everywhere so this was the last time 5SOS were in Australia. Finally, in about a month's time they'll get to come home, see family and tour for the first time in just under 3 years!! I always thought CALM was superior (as far as their songwriting) but I think the key to understanding their back catalogue is how old they were when things were written. Hearing Luke and Ashton's solo work last year highlights this further, as you can see the growth as they have matured, and experienced more in life to write about than previously. They have honed their craft further and this only benefits the whole band when they come back together to write (which is showcased in 5SOS5). PS. You are going to love "Youngblood" as the next album - heaps of bangers!! That's not to say their earlier stuff isn't good - you just have to keep in mind they were literally 15/16 years of age. If anything it's impressive what they created then and the trajectory to where they are now. So much more I could write, but I'll leave some things/interesting info for others to contribute. The last thing I'll say is "Best Years" - you'll appreciate that song on a whole other level if you listen/watch the acoustic version that Luke performed (I think it was in his bathroom at home for the acoustics 😂😂). CALM has always been my favourite album from them before 5sos5, it's the album that really got me into them, so i have such a soft spot for it, and i'm so glad you appreciate too!

Hi Travis!! I'm so glad you have found 5SOS!! I joined your patreon because I could see you becoming hooked & I love experiencing other people fall in love with & appreciate 5SOS ❤️ CALM & 5SOS5 are probably my 2 favourite 5SOS albums but Youngblood is also amazing. There are also some absolute classics on their first 2 albums but you have to keep in mind how young they were - particularly with their first album when they were only 15/16. I would absolutely love for you to watch some live performances because let me tell you if you love them now - live they are just exceptional!! There are sooooo many full length concerts from all the different eras on YouTube & I think you would love it! They are all so very talented - all play multiple instruments, all can sing - though Luke is by far my favourite & his vocal talents just leave me stunned. His range is immaculate (he was the low voice you loved plus the high voice you loved in High). I think he is so underrated & genuinely believe he has one of, if not the best voice out there!! 5SOS are such a diverse group (plus the Kings of Harmonies!) & you are so going to enjoy their discography...plus if you look at things like their own version of Carpool Karabloke, Their 10 year anniversary show, Cocktail Chats, Tour Diaries - you also get to see their personalities & they are just such great Aussie guys that love each other & their fans. Lastly...you are so right - Luke is the most beautiful guy in the world!! 😂😍Enjoy the ride Travis!! 😊❤️

Loved your reaction! I'm so glad you loved CALM so much, this was my favorite album of theirs before 5SOS5. Now I think they are tied for me, but I enjoy them in completely different ways. I love and agree with how you said that 5SOS are really great at making music that is ear candy while having depth and meaning, which is not easy to do. Can't wait for you to react to Youngblood next, which is a great album! Also, I would recommend while you are in the CALM era to check out their amazing Easier and Teeth Live From The Vault performances on YouTube, which are very popular with 5SOS fans and show how they usually perform those songs live in terms of the arrangment. Also, I recommend checking out their Carpool Karabloke video that they made for the release of the CALM album. It's just funny and chaotic which is on brand for them. So excited to finally see your reaction to this album! I can’t wait for your reaction to Youngblood as that album was my favorite before 5SOS5 came out ❤️

You HAVE TO do a reaction video to Carpool Karabloke. You really get to see their personalities shine, and the way they interact with each other. If you wanna just crush hard on them, watch Cocktail Chats. And don't forget about their 10 Year Reunion show!

I'm very late to this lol but I only wanted to add that while best years isn't the most like engaging or captivating song on the album, it's absolutely gorgeous live with the crowd singing. It's turned into this anthem in a way for the people that have been supporting the band for years and have considered 5sos their "safe space" or whatever you wanna call it so it really gets emotional and feels like a comfort song for many people live because it's like both the fans and 5sos have experienced some of their best years together, you know.
