Jensen is actually a VERY good singer. He's got a band w/Steve Carlson, Radio Company, with two albums out. But Jensen wanted Dean to be a bad singer.<p></p> <p>The show was filmed in Vancouver Canada, so most of the time it's cooler weather. That's why you won't see them in short sleeved shirts (or rarely).</p>

For 15 yrs. the boys wore 3 layers. It was a choice the show runner made early on and it became trademark- like Dean’s boots. Jensen has said when they were doing an ep, he’d choose 3 warm items cause it was cold. Then when they returned from hiatus it was hot and he’d have to wear those same clothes for continuity. Can’t remember when flannel became their go to and part of dialogue etc.
