Howdy all,

A buffet of random notes as you start to apply your zombie makeup for the weekend...

*  I’m starting work on a very involved story which could become another simultaneous audio/video project posted in a similar model as was done with “Drop-ins,” but more ambitious…. I think that’ll be an early 2022 release, and this month I’ll get some other ideas going too, so if I’m super-industrious it won’t be an interminable wait for a new tale.

*  Matheus Macedo just had me narrate another of his stories for the SessionsX podcast, it’s called “The Body”…. and I’m heard on another short round of episodes Linda Wojtowick put out for The Ghosts on This Road (“Harvest” is my particular favorite).

*  Those of you who download all the episodes of your favorite podcasts for safekeeping somewhere might want to re-download the Knifepoint Horror stories “landmark” and “moonkeeper”; almost unnoticeable tweaks were made to these recently when I happened to come across some old notes I never incorporated. For archival purposes, you should grab these latest editions, even though you’ll be hard-pressed to spot any differences.

*  One Patreon feature I had never noticed was the ability to sort a creator’s posts, so I’ve added the tag word “extra” to my posts from the past which included audio recordings or other files that aren’t available elsewhere. So if you’re a patron who’s missed those, hopefully searching/sorting for “extra” will get you to them easily.

*  I have a small YouTube horror playlist going where I’ve collected some movies, mostly shorts, that I’m especially fond of (and that I suspect will mysteriously disappear someday if I don’t keep track of them this way)… these are predominantly subtle (way too subtle for some!) adaptations of M.R. James stories. If I could recommend just one from the list, it would be “Whistle and I’ll Come to You.”

*  And in case you didn’t see this, it’s another mini horror flick I made to pass the time during endless pitching changes in the baseball playoffs:

*  Finally, not to ruin everyone’s Halloween, but I have reason to believe a Devil Cow is among us, watching, waiting, planning… walking past a farm last weekend, I spotted this and grabbed a quick photo before running away in panic:

P.S. Did anyone ever work at a Halloween haunted house or trail for the season? This has long been on my bucket list and once again I failed to look into it. It looks like it would either be a lot of fun or a tremendous disappointment…. but which is it? Which is it??

Welp, it just so happens that landmark is also in my top 5. It was the first story that I heard from you and still a favourite.

Landmark is also a personal favorite of mine. Not only is the core narrative intriguing, but it includes so many wonderful references to other characters and events that could be interesting stories in their own right.
