A Tifa Sketch (Patreon)

Not too much to add. If you'd seen my tumblr today I spent an inordinate amount of time talking about politics. If any of that offends you, I offer condolences but I don't have anything I'd want to apologize for. It's a pretty important thing to me, and I have certain views I consider worth risking followers for.

This sketch is pretty okay. It doesn't quite look like "Tifa" but that's mostly because the face isn't Tifa's face so much as one my my usual "pretty girl" archetypes. That kind of drawing can get me in trouble but I think I'll have to live with that until I get better at adding more diversity to my no brainer sketches.

At the same time, I think this technique of sketching is pretty great looking. I seem to go through lots of different styles of sketching, usually tiring with one method before moving onto another type based on another kind of brush. I'm very concerned with surface appeal before I am about fixing fundamental things or improving overall compositions and values.

I don't know if this applies to my personal life in anyway. But it's there and I'd like to improve it over time.
