Wait a minute, did I NOT post these?

I think Gunmetal Colette's design is a inner. People seem to really like it and it's a clear mix of sexy/adventurer/cyborg stuff that's a lot of fun to look at. I still don't really have a story but I am starting to get a feel for what I want to do.

And what I want to do is sleep. I'm pretty tired. But I've got work to do first. I've got more Gunmetal Colette stuff to post too, so I can talk about it then. And maybe I can discuss whether or not she should have a cyborg neck.

Out of curiosity, is their any resources you reccomend for someone who wants to learn to draw robotic limbs and so on? I've tried looking at stuff like Shirow, but I have a hard time deciphering where a lot of details are, what some of those details are, and so on.

Oh this is potentially a very long answer. I'll try and mention a couple things you should keep in mind. Try working from BIG SHAPES to SMALL SHAPES. Big Shapes will be things like the outer layer, or the major components of the armor. And then you fill in the little shapes with what would work in the place of bones and muscles. For help with that, I could recommend the book Mechaforce by E J Su. It's a great inspiration for what kinds of mechanics you can use in place of real human joints.
