This would be considered too rough of a drawing for actual posting on a gallery somewhere. What I mean by that is you can see too many construction lines still in the piece. To some extent, I love seeing construction lines. They have this way of informing you about a picture's anatomy that clean art doesn't always deliver. Plus I like seeing brushwork on a painting.

But there's also some cheap work here on the gauntlets. They're not as believable as they should be. The shine on the metal isn't right and doesn't quite define how smooth those things should be.

ANYWAY, let's just talk about the goofy picture. Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch, every one made a great deal of Mario's new ability to posses people and creatures with his hat toss. It's an adorable, funny, if maybe a little morally terrifying ability! I kinda had to have fun with it. But I think in this picture, it's just Colette pretending to be Mario. And what self respecting gamer hasn't pretended to be Mario once in their life?
