secret project! 👀 first character - Brown (Patreon)

The Afrikaans name for "brown hyena" is "strandwolf", which translates to "beach wolf" and refers to the coastal habitat a lot of them live in-- which inspired me to make this brown hyena character a seaside-dwelling, beachcombing hermit. She's reclusive and more than a little eccentric, but friendly, and happy to invite a passing stranger into her home for a cup of tea and a hot bowl of shellfish-and-seal-brain soup.

she's also for a secret project! Well, not secret for you guys, because I'm here telling you about it. On the good business advice of a couple of good friends, I'm drawing up a set of four adoptable gnoll characters to auction off individually! I've never drawn adoptables before, but with how successful I've seen other artists be with adoptable characters, as well as how exciting the whole auction process looks, it seems like a good idea to try it out myself. I'm nervous about the whole bidding thing, but people seem to like my gnoll characters, so fingers crossed these guys get successfully adopted out when the time comes!

I don't think I'll officially name any of them, but as I've been drawing her, I've been thinking of this one as Shelley.
