Such a great film! I was surprised you didn’t seem to recognize Queen Latifah. She did an amazing job. Another great musical you should watch is Chicago. Queen Latifah is incredible in it, but she’s just one of a star-studded cast in an awesome show!

I love this movie! Such a great cast, and great music. Apparently, the first time Nikki Blonsky (Tracy) met Travolta she was really nervous, but he exclaimed ”Come to mommy” and gave her a big hug. That’s just so endearing to me. A few suggestions for other musicals to watch if you haven’t already: ”Phantom of the Opera” (definitely go with the 25th anniversary version at Royal Albert Hall rather than the movie; it’s ten times better, and can be watched for free on YT), ”West Side Story” (I prefer the Spielberg version, far more character depth), ”Sound of Music”, ”Jesus Christ Superstar” (for easter maybe?), ”Moulin Rouge”, ”Dreamgirls”, ”Into the Woods” (the filmed stage show, not the movie), and ”Straight Outta Compton” (not a musical as such, but features a lot of music).

would be nice to also see reaction to "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals" by Starkid... musical nerds reacting to it always get the subversions, unlike me, when i first watched it.
