Fun fact: David Schwimmer is actually allergic to cats. Also, hairless cats are not actually hypoallergenic as many people think so Monica could have had an allergic reaction to it. Dander, which comes from skin and not fur, is what usually causes allergies. Always amazed me that Gary was ready to move in with Phoebe but he didn't know she hated seeing animals being hurt (and was a vegetarian).

The physical force and violence against patients might be sometimes necessary. It's great that you have this experience with working with people like this. It must have been hard. After getting slapped by the lady, I'm not sure I would be able to continue working, no matter how much I wanted to help. Unfortunately, as a child I experienced multiple times doctos being violent without any kind words and today I wouldn't be able to stay friends with these characters if I was in Rachel's situation. But yeah,the friends always teasing each other about pretty much everything is supposed to be their dynamic and part of the humor. it's exaggerated, it would not really work in real life, or at least not for that long. Boundaries are something people in real life learn to appreciate and they cut ties with "friends" who don't respect the boundaries. on this show we don't see much growth in this aspect, sadly, but it's supposed to be a cartoony caricature of real life in some ways, I guess.
