Being a surrogate for Phoebe’s brother was a great way to write Lisa’s pregnancy into the show rather than have Phoebe be a single parent or try to hide the pregnancy and it makes for a lot of fun stories over the coming months. If I remember correctly, when Chandler says “Blue Blazer Black” he actually did made a mistake and Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox jumped on the chance to improvise and tease him. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The quiz / apartment swap episode is a classic and is always on lists of best/favorite Friends episodes of all time.

Episode 12 is my favorite of the season. Phoebe being pregnant is something to look forward to 😂

As great as episode 12 is, the scene from episode 11 is my all time favorite friends scene. Monica and Rachel teaching Chandler sex lol. Courtney Cox did such an amazing job with the numbers and when she ends yelling 7!, 7!, 7!, and then soundlessly mouths 7 while putting up 7 fingers.... that scene kills me every time.

As others have said, the surrogacy storyline was to incorporate Lisa Kudrow's real life pregnancy in the show. At the time of filming this episode she was 4 months pregnant. Today her son Julian is 25! Matthew Perry messed up by saying "blue blazer black" instead of "blue blazer back" and the rest of the cast's responses were so funny that they left it in. Also, it's crazy to watch this now because then Trump was just a known businessman who owned a bunch of hotels. Monica's 7 erogenous zones are 1. Ears 2. Lips 3. Neck 4. Breasts 5. Butt 6. Inner thighs and 7. Vagina. Chandler's official job description is "statistical analysis and data reconfiguration". What that actually means is another question altogether. "He's a transpon—transpondster!" "THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD!" Cracks me up every time 😂

Okay Nick, I think the time has come. You're in the Friends fandom, it's time to start doing the claps with the intro. Messing up the audio be damned. :P Episode 12 is one of the highest-rated episodes in the series, for good reason. Even though they're competing, you can really feel the comradery and the fun the actors are having. One of my personal favorites. It was wonderful seeing you enjoy it so much.

That’s so cool about figuring out a natural storyline for Lisa Kudrow, I watched a podcast with her a little while ago where she mentioned her son saying he was proud of what they all did with Friends and I love hearing about mother-son relationships like that. And thanks for clarifying about Monica’s numbers, as far as Chandler’s job, I’m just as lost as you (although I’m fairly certain I would never survive working a job like that haha)

Yeah it seems kinda crazy but it worked. He grew up on the set too. While he was too young for most of it I am still so jealous! And I always wondered about what the numbers meant haha

There was an offical Friends game, based on the game in episode 12, i think it came out around 2000/2001. I had it and it was such a fun game, i played it several times when i started high school, great way to get to know new friends😊

Hello Nick! A happy new patron here :) As for the "Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance" (the phenomenon that scares the bejesus out of Chandler), it's a traditional Irish dance ensemble Riverdance (Flatley being the frontman)—and you absolutely need to watch (and maybe even react to?) their first major performance, it will blow your mind. eh... I'm sorry if I missed it but - are you from Canada or something? Of course IVF costs 16,000$..... in most countries it costs that much, even in those with free healthcare
