Had an absolute BLAST watching this one with Lexi.  And what a fun, clever take on a Halloween themed episode.  Although my favorite aspect by far was the reveal with Giles...

ALSO, 2x7 will be coming out later today!  Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!

I don't have much experience with watching Lexi, but OMG that was awesome! When she made little comments like 'we faint' or 'he befriended the children' I cracked up. You both bounce off each other really well in this reaction :D Also, not sure Nick realizes what he's done by giving the Angel/Giles idea to the fan fic community XD

This episode is the first to show the utter brilliance of BtVS. Taking what is essentially a monster of the week, with no real addition to the season plot, yet driving no less than four different character plots. Buffy/Angel, Giles, Spike/Drusilla, and Willow/Oz. I think my 4th favorite episode of the season. Can't wait to take the ride with you.

I really like this episode, because most of the conflict is based on flaws or traits already established in our characters. Xander struggles with his masculinity. Buffy hates being different and wishes she could be a normal girly-girl. Willow has low self-esteem and ofcourse Giles hasn't always been a librarian, but thats the only setting we seen him in so far. The sweet, caring father figure. I love that the two main characters that has gotten the least development to this point - Willow and Giles- gets pushed to the center. Its just a smart, funny, suspensful episode that does almost everything right with the monster of the week formula.

I really liked this episode so thank you so much for uploading it. But I want to tell you once again, that it is not a good idea in general to watch episodes with someone else if you watch them for the first time. Please trust me, there will be episodes in which this will change your reaction to certain events for sure. And since you´ll never know when an episode like this is going to happen it would really be better if we got to see only your reaction for certain events. And don´t think stuff like that is only going to happen in later seasons. Buffy is a show that can surprise you from one episode to the next. I don´t want to be mean or something like that, but there will be no second chance for a first watch alone. And I don´t want you to regret that one day.

I agree with Nicologik and Effie. This one was fun in it’s own right but generally first time watch collabs are inevitably going to distract from the episode for the first time reactor. Selfishly, I want Thor fully immersed because I’m here for his reactions but if maybe we could figure out a spoiler free list of eps that aren’t a big deal for him to collaborate on since he clearly enjoys it?

This isn’t a science experiment. If collaborating on the occasional episode alters his reaction in any way it doesn’t matter because he’s enjoying it and that should be the goal. He’s collaborating with experienced reactors who aren’t going to spoil anything and it is incredibly fun watching them squirm knowing what it is that they can’t tell him.

Probably my favourite Halloween episode of television. So bloody brilliant having the characters become the costume they are wearing. While also sorting through their issues &amp; conflict. 👏 Ripper Giles has made his appearance. I was excited for Thor to get to this episode because he always has such interesting commentary on Giles’ character &amp; I knew Thor would enjoy learning this other side to Giles. I know I was super intrigued. And yes there are some hints in previous episodes that allude to what Giles might have been like in his past. Like in 1x05 Giles said to Buffy he didn’t want to be a Watcher. And rebelled against it once. But like Buffy he knew it was his duty. Great reaction as always! Thank you for the double episodes too. I’m off to watch Lie To Me now 😃
