Hey I know I’m late to the party, but as a Buffy super fan a couple quick things: Dru is my fave vampire! She so crazy and out of her mind 😂 Also, sire means the vampire that made you a vamp. They sire other vamps. Usually teach them how to be a vamp as well, but it just refers to whoever creates you as a vamp

Also, the Anointed One is like Jarjar Binks from Star Wars. He was supposed to originally be a big bad, but due to diff issues and story changes, his role was severely cut down to almost an extra with lines.

They were thinking about having the Anointed One be the main villain, but there's one problem with immortal children... they're played by human children who grow up, and this one apparently grew a LOT between seasons (that's why they always having him sitting down). But I'll definitely take pop-culture savvy, smart, and funny Spike over him any day.

I think its OK for the odd episode now and then, but personally I don't enjoy collabs as much. I just feel like the reactor maybe doesn't get as "into" it, or if its a particularly emotional episode they may hold back a bit if someone else is watching too. But that's just my opinion. The occasional collab is fun tho!

This was great fun. Normally I don't like collabs but you and Riley match each other's energy which makes this work so well. Also in vampire folklore sire means the vampire that turned you, it's a bit more flexibly used on this show.

And this didn't get caught but the tampon scene was intentional to tell the audience that Buffy was on her period. That's why Spike specifically says he smells the blood of a nice *ripe* girl. A lot of reactors miss that subtext connection on their first watch.

I think the idea for the Anointed One was conceived with the shock factor in mind (and it made for quite the unexpected twist in Season 1, Episode 5!), but then the writers may have realized that the optics of Buffy fighting a child might look ridiculous or could potentially offend people.

There is the time difference (they are in the UK) to worry about but Liam Catterson or Liam Duke are also awesome Buffy reactors. Both have finished the whole series recently. Darcie & Alley are fun as well. But we enjoy your reactions by yourself as well so no need to collab unless u want too.

Honestly, to me, School Hard is the episode that shifts Buffy from a very enjoyable good show, to an absolutely incredible show. The richness here in the writing and directing, the acting and world building is stunning. This becomes very evident in subsequent rewatches but School Hard is foundational to the entire rest of the show.

Ahhh we have made it to the introduction to Spike & Drusilla. School Hard really ups the stakes & I think sets things in motion for this season. It’s a damn good episode. Love the collaboration & will be happy for them being a one off thing. I think it’s a bit hard when one person has seen Buffy & can’t really comment for fear of spoilers. And also them talking can make Thor miss important dialogue.

Ah, this was really cool to watch. I forgot how fun Riley is and how chatty too which is great cause she had a lot of good questions for you. I think I laughed the most from this reaction thanks to you both. As for the episode…this is one of the strongest of the season for me mainly because of Spike and Dru. They inject a lot of life to this season because as you guys mentioned, they’re fun. They both have a “personality” which I think a lot of vampires have lacked in the past. I’ve personally never found Spike that menacing because he is just so hilarious but Dru is one of coolest villains for me. Playing with dolls and her child-like essence makes her so creepy. There’s a lot more depth to explore with all the characters this season and that’s why it’s my personal favourite. I’m so hyped for the possibility of double uploads if you have time…I’m just dying to hear your thoughts on my favourite episodes haha. I’d also like to add to what’s already been mentioned here about collabs. I love both Domi and Riley and I’ve enjoyed the discussions but I agree that for this season my preference is that you go solo. Collabs are ok for the fun episodes but for the longer eps and the season finale I sincerely hope that you do those solo. Plus I already know what other Buffy reactors think of this season so I’d prefer to hear your in depth thoughts without distraction. I’m excited for episode 4 :)

Just echoing Effie here. I like Riley and Domi.E too but solo is so much better for me as we get to see your reactions free from someone else's opinion. Besides, you do such a great job on your own and really don't need anyone else. Now rewatches are a totally different thing and what collabs are made for, well I think so anyway.

Good reaction, but like other people already said, I think for a first watch a collab is not really the best. Especially with Buffy you never know, if there wont be a really special episode next. And I think for the first time watching you should enjoy those surprises for yourself. Even if the other person tries not to spoil anything, they kinda drag the mood of a scene to what they know the scene is going. For example when there were scenes with Spike, and you were worried for Buffy or Xander or anyone else, Riley laughed cause she already knew the scene wouldn´t end bad. That takes away your geniune and independent reaction. I really like Riley and Domi and watch both of their reactions, too. And for a rewatch I´d always be there. But the first time watching should be only you, and your personal take on what happens. Well, you don´t have to do that. But I just wanted to give you my opinion :) You´re a great reactor and I really like your reactions. :)
