Can't believe two hundred weeks has passed since the start of this series. Let's hope that this war won't continue and drag on for another two hundred weeks. Thanks World War Two team!

At ~15 min, is it 500 tons (what Indy said) or 5000 tons (text)?

there ia a myth that sicilian famlies in the US aided operation HUSKY, yet even if that is not true, they did help by being a large part of the dock workers in NY, and it is a fact that many italian-american soldiers had there hopes on the US helping to break German domination for Italy.

The beach reconnaissance is one of the lessons learnt from Dieppe. You need to make sure of your ground when you land. Can we have a special in this subject guys?

"great' being a relative term

Was the phone call about Dieppe?

The technical details involved checking out the beaches months prior to the attack make a good comparison to the disastrous invasion of Gallipoli during the Great War. Thanks for another great episode

Text is inserted afterwards, and is often used to correct mistakes in the narration, so my guess is that it's 5000 tons.

See at 3:44 of the video. It was about the Soviet 9th Army's attempt to reach Temryuk via the lagoon.

France in particular still has the Zone Rouge of UXO from the Great War. Bearing in mind the sheer volume of mines being laid, I wonder if they're impacting both Ukrainian and Russian forces' current operations ? Along with the UXO from some of those massive barrages of course.
