Another well presented and detailed episode. Mussolini should have accepted US proposal to look for oil in Libya instead of all that shooting.

Technically if Eurasia is one continent then it should be two continents, as of the telephone call you reference.

most people miss that the loss of the forces in africa was almost as big a loss of man power as all of stalingrad, These were experienced veterans soldiers who could not be replaced.

Are we going to see issues with French taking back these areas? Or possible a post WW2 TG special on this?

Great episode as usual here. One front is now finally closed, and it seems soon another front will open in the future.

Fascist Italy's fate was sealed in Africa. The loss of over 170,000 combat troops in Africa between El Alamein and Tunis, plus the loss of 115,000 more Italian troops in Russia between November 1942 - February 1943, meant that virtually three quarters of all combat-experienced soldiers Italy had fielded in mid-1942 were gone. Sixty percent of its serviceable modern combat and transport aircraft were lost in the same three-month period. The Italians fielded only four Armored Divisions and four Mechanized Divisions in the entire war; three of each surrendered in Tunisia. Those forces that were left to guard the homeland lacked modern weapons, even by Italian standards.

For those of you too young to know a “wristwatch” is basically a “steam-punk” Fitbit.

Fun Fact for today: The Canadian Army also participated in the liberation of Kiska., most notably a battalion of the reconstituted Winnipeg Grenadiers. The 1st Bn Winnipeg Grenadiers fought at Hong Kong and were lost with the surrender. This week they get to hit back, kinda. https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/military-history/history-heritage/official-military-history-lineages/reports/army-headquarters-1948-1959/book-kiska-operation.html
