This week at TimeGhost we wrapped up a massive filming week. As some of you may have noticed, one of our War Against Humanity videos became age restricted. That means that it is less likely to be recommended to people, and many others will struggle to view it because of complicated age verification procedures. It can be disappointing as the reason we make these videos is to educate as many people as possible, and when the reach is limited that directly stands in the way of our goal. We're undeterred though, and thank you all for standing with us.

181 - Victory at Guadalcanal - WW2 - February 12, 1943

Operation KE, the Japanese evacuation of Guadalcanal, concludes this week and the campaign has been a big loss for the Japanese. The Axis forces are also withdrawing- and the Red Army advancing- in the Donbas and the Caucasus, closing in on both Kharkov and Rostov. And a front that's been quiet for a while, the Burma front, begins heating up again with an Allied advance out of India. this must be a new algorithm of YouTube, because the content has not changed, throughout the whole year of 1942 there has been disturbing content. And yes, your series is very educational and cannot be recommended enough!

It is good to finally see something about the front lines in Burma, which has been quiet for a while. Seems like things have been on a roll for the Allies lately, with Stalingrad and now, Guadalcanal.

It's absurd that factual educational content is censored.

I don't understand why Youtube feels the need to suppress educational content. That said... I just saw Sabaton's newest music video "The Unkillable Soldier", where Indy portrays Adrian Carton de Wiart! Congrats Indy!

I was wondering if we might get an update on the War in China, it's been quite some time, how have the Chinese faired in the mean time?

Nice addition to show the Russian and German commanders pictures on the maps rather than as trading card like inserts. Is this new or have I just not been paying attention?

Anonymous

It's new, I think. Wasn't there last week, so they must be trying new ways to make the frontlines (and personnel shuffles) easier to follow.

Look into Utreon.

Michael Regan

But how many faces of personnel who were dead before many of us were born, can we recognize at a glance?

I recently read John Masters book which included his time with the Chindits - what a story that part was !

The Road Past Mandalay by John Masters. He commanded a Chindit brigade behind Japanese lines. It's an autobiography, so there's lots of other stuff that has zero to do with Burma but may still be of interest, such as he was part of the British force that neutralized the Iraqi attempt to join the Axis.

I love these episodes but I also love ZEITGEIST, the raw emotion beyond it is breath taking, and it has been so long since a last episode.

In episode 180, you outline the importance of the battle of Guadalcanal and its strategic significance as it kept the Japanese out of the Indian Ocean. It would be great if we could get some special about the supply logistics in Late 1942 / early 1943. How did the Americans and presume English manage to supply the Pacific, Middle East and Russia via Iran?
