These videos embody the most extreme examples of why we think the work we do is important. There are always lessons to be learnt from history, but in War Against Humanity we cover the lessons that we absolutely cannot forget. The only way we can put these documentaries out is because of all of you, otherwise they would be impossible to produce. Thank you.

why have we not seen what the Japanese are doing in Southeast Asia

Anonymous

Why nothing about the resistance there and dont tell me there is now for Uncle Ho is leading it Tell the story of how the USA UK and France refused to give his movement arms b/c the French didnt want any independent movement in Southeast Asia after the war had been won by allies

Anonymous

Yes even this early in war the major powers saw the defeat of Japan as a fait accompli

has the ww2 day by day page gone down?

This one is going to be rough, I can tell. Edit: It was really rough.

That was very powerful. And I concur with the closing sentiment. Mother Theresa was said to have admonished: a man starves to death because YOU failed to give him something to eat.

Anonymous

Mother Theresa was no beacon of compassion, quite the opposite, in fact. But that is a conversation for another day.

No, actually he received OSS assistance and arms as well as training advisers. The OSS men were surprised by the Viet Minh that they trained, praising their diligence and the speed that they demonstrated in learning their trade. An OSS man was standing behind Ho as he declared independence from France, quoting Thomas Jefferson.

A friend asked me just a few days ago if I thought the holocaust would have happened without Hitler. Such a big question. Would Nazis have happened without Hitler? Would a benevolent party come to power or would the Weimar Republic have held together? Or could something as evil, or even worse have come to power? Who knows. I told him that a large minority of Germans still believed they had not lost WWI, and perhaps a majority were anti-Semitic, as were many Europeans. I thought it may have been inevitable with or without Hitler. It could have been Goring or Himmler or any number of other leaders if Hitler wasn’t there. Yes, if WWII was inevitable, a Holocaust was likely inevitable. Humanity was primed for it. Hate and a lack of compassion dominated . Remember, the opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. Never forget (lest it happen again).

Your most powerful monologue yet, I had a similar reflection when 100s of thousands of people were being murdered in Syria and Europe just watched it happen. Never forget!

"You have to be taught to hate, you have to be carefully taught." So, it behooves us also as humanity to make certain that our children, especially our young children, have the opportunity to learn that despite our superficial differences, we are all human. As children learn best through action and interaction, that means making certain that they have opportunities to meet, play with, eat with, learn and laugh with children who come from other countries and cultures and other parts of the world. Just as sure as teenagers will fall in love, children will make friends that can last a lifetime. That way, when older people try to teach them to hate, they will be more able to see through the ruse. And friendship will triumph over evil. Thank you.

I would call this process the hyperpolarization of hyperpolarization. Meaning that societal polarization occurs on a greyscale. A society can be hyperpolarized and the process is accelerated as time passes. Unless the process is stopped, at least, the hyperpolarization of hyperpolarization is inevitable. A frightening form of antisemitism is blooming in our world now. I'm incredulous that history is NOT REMEMBERED! Finding and shifting focus to humanity is the only way to counter propaganda I suppose.

he may have been but Ho got very little b/c France didnt not want independence movement in SE Asia If the Western Allies had given Ho half as much as they give lets take Greek as example The Japanese would have had to use at least 5 divisions if not 8 to hold Just what was to become N Vietnam

Remember there are over 3M head stones in VN with just one word on them Hero This is why I say W. Allies didnt do enough for Ho The ppl of Vietnam have never taken kindly to foreign rule Stop nd think what it would of meant to the war in China or Burma if the Japanese had had a real force to content with in VN
