When I was a child,my teacher told me that after the massacre, people in Spain started naming their daughters Lidice. I was angered to see the CENSORED overlay at 10:44. I understand TimeGhost's position, but I cannot fathom why YouTube would censor a historical record. Who does YouTube think they are protecting? People need to see these images to get a visceral understanding of the extent of these war crimes. I fear that "never forget" will be forgotten unless we are reminded of the Holocaust.

Agreed. I listen to these like a podcast while I do other things, this morning I was doing some training, and in the middle I was doing push-ups and left the phone under my face, and was mortified to see a “censored” in red letters over the photo. Having been interested in history I’ve been seeing Holocaust pictures battlefield photos since I was 10 at least. I understand that YouTube who routinely censors me to the point I have to call him big daddy Addy and not Adolf hitler so my comments on historical events don’t get removed. But surely at least on patreon the censorship could be removed and simply added later to the YouTube post.

This entire series shows the horrors of racism, anti semitism, bigotry. To hate what happened then is to hate systematic racism or racism of any sort. Bigotry is the enemy then and now.

Is there any way around the censorship.? Can you not use another platform for these episodes like your colleagues at Real time history.. These are very difficult programmes for us all but must be made and watched. You and all the team do a fantastic job. Thank you.

Remember Communists, Americans and 100s of millions of people of all faiths & beliefs (entitled or not) fought to defeat this evil. Communists also murdered over 100,000 million people so. And America is not a racist natoin. There a few racists and they are bad people. BLM is a terrible organizatoin that stands against everything America stands for and Critical Race Theory is pure racism. Its really a brilliant idea. Create a communist inserectoin and then give it a name no one can disagree with lest they lable you racist. We shouldnt talk about this here as we are desecrating the memories of the victims of Japanese, Soviet and Nazi terror. Never forget and Never again. "America is not a racist nation" as long as you're white...and even then it's not a guarantee. What group haven't we discriminated against? Asians, Africans, Latinx, Middle Easterners, Indigenous peoples, the Irish, French, Italians, Germans. Eastern Europeans... Unless you're from England, Scotland or Oceania we have done everything from kill, enslave, steal land... The joke is that "Lebensraum" is a German word that translates to "Manifest Destiny"

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but have you attempted to work with schools to get these War Against Humanity episodes aired in classrooms as part of curriculum? An horrific subject, but one every generation needs to be exposed to lest they think it is entirely made up or exaggerated.

We'd would love that, but it's a difficult thing to make happen form our side. Working with schools is notoriously difficult as you're immediately caught in the complexities of the mandated curricula of federal/national, state/regional, and local boards of education. To become a widely used material you have to produce according to those curricula. That means that our format structure is ill adapted to be used in a classroom. In some cases adapting to such curricula would also contradict our basic principle of academic correctness, since primary and secondary school historiography is still wrought with political and ideological agenda. All that said, we know anecdotally that some teachers use our material in their classes, we welcome that, and we wish we had some way of promoting it.

Well I am half Latin dont ever use Latinx it is stupid. My Grandfather went from living in the back of a bodega to being a CEO. We have done bad things in the past but that is the past. If it wasnt for america, my entire family would have died in the holocaust. We have done bad things to all those groups, but its the fault of democrats not anyone else. As for done everything to enslave that is a complete lie. We have never ever enslaved Latin, Middle eastern, Irish, French, Italians, Germans and Eastern Europeans. Ps I noticed you left Jews out - why beacuse the left hates Jews. As for Asian Americans over 100 years ago we did do horrible things to Chinese Americans with the railroad peonage which is disgusting and we did imprison Japanese Americans (democrats idea), but they managed to overcome all the odds to be one of the most succsesful groups in America. As for Native Americans I should start off to say I am part Native. My Grandmothers mother was half Native Indian. The way we treated them was disgusting (really democrats like Van Buren and Jackson) even to this day they are not treated right, yet we are trying to do better and should just move on. And its not like all of them were oppresed look at Charles Curtis the Half Kaw Veep. Middle eastearners well we are the natoin that saved Jews from the holocaust and have Indians/Pakistani's ect see succsess through their merit. I mean we did treat Irish and Italians and Russian poorley once, but not anymore. As for African Americans we as a natoin have laws that prevent discriminatoin for over 40 years, have lifted Black people out of poverty and freed the. Slavery was disgusting, but we abolished it and americans fought a bloody war to free them. And comparing the Holocaust and Nazi attrocities to Manifest destiny is disgusting. I would be open to a real debate. I am not saying we have not done anything wrong in the past, but we have also done so much good. We should remember the past, but move on to truly make America live up to its promise of lockean freedoms - Not turn into a communist death state. Take care

What a well thought out and sensitive presentation Adam. Yes indeed, we must all respect each and every human being. We should recognize our mistakes, but also give credit where credit is due. We should also avoid destructive and dangerously misguided comparisons, such as the Holocaust with Manifest Destiny.

Ps I could go on with facts and figures with honest history for hours. Its also worth mentioning any sort of critical theory is a Marxist tactic with the sole goal of dividing a country and overthrowing it. It came out of a marxist school of thought in Frankfurt and was a nonsense theory critizing western freedoms and trying to divide people. It was a theory that could never work in America beacuse we always had a thriving middle class- even poor had luxuries and food. So they created a new theory about race using the Critical theory as race has been a weak point. CRT is a racist, revisoinist, disgusting, marxist tactic used again American democracy based in really crackpot theories with no basis in fact (not denying Jim Crow or Slavery) about modern america. It is a really racist, nasty theory and is being used against America. If any of you want to argue with me (which I dont want to do here where we should be remembering the legacy of the victims of the war). Never forget the Holocaust or Slavery while we are at it.
