The Roaring 20's has begun, and jazz music is booming. A young and inexperienced musician has landed a job on a river boat, and will soon become all the rage...

Rage is also - and rightly so - still felt over the segregation and discrimination of black people in the US, not least against the many musicians playing the popular jazz and blues. The number of civil rights organizations grow, and their work intensifies - but not without some controversy.

In other news this summer: The name Charles Ponzi will be on everyone's lips as the story about his rise to fame and fortune blows up, the biggest scandal in American sports history shocks the nation, and a bomb drops on Wall Street, quite literally.

Thank you so much for your continued work on documenting history! I so love this series because it shows history is not only about the big wars and political events, but even more so about the origins and history of the things we take for granted today. Radio, movies, music, even fraudulent Ponzi schemes!

I hope you will cover more world events and not just the USA in this series, and not just the wars either.

They will there is just not interesting stuff going on in other places except the USA (must are in some type of conflict). That will change though in the future.

Though I do understand how the French language is spoken, W.E.B. Du Bois pronounced his name differently than how one would assume (“Bois” is pronounced like “Boys”).
