Workers across in the United States of America fight with their bosses for the basic right to strike and organise, while anti-communist hysteria pushes through anti-union smears and legislation. At the same time, anarchist attacks bring chaos to the streets of the U.S. In Britain, the first woman fills a seat in parliament, although her anti-semitic and anti-catholic views taint her legacy. In lighter news, new animated cartoons mark a new age in entertainment.
