Hmmm... the Japanese have no chance. The Jewel of Empire is safe, and with guns and a strong force they won't dare.

Great episode, as usual. Fwiw, according to Frank Owen's book Fall of Singapore many of the guns of Singapore did have enough of an arc to hit targets on the far side of the Straits, but had anti-ship ammo, not super quick fuzes. As in Armour or Semi-Armour Piercing type rounds which had delayed fuzes and would have buried themselves before exploding.
