Kiev is taken.
Leningrad is surrounded.
Now Hitler's renewed drive on Moscow begins...

Has the Führer bitten off more than he will be able to chew?

In other news this week:

The Japanese drive on Changsha is not going as planned.

Resistance rises in Greece.

The unimaginable horror of the Babi Yar massacre takes place.

And last but not least, Britain and the USA are planning to ship an enormous amount of metal, rubber, petroleum, medical equipment, winter garments, naval equipment, and assorted guns - not to mention tanks, planes, and ships - to the Soviet Union.

World War Two marches on relentlessly week by week - and so do we in our coverage of it's victories, defeats, sacrifices, and atrocities. Thank you all for supporting our work!

Adolf Hitler's renewed drive on Moscow, the Soviet capital, begins this week, even as the Japanese drive on Changsha ends. But major news this week is the colossal amount of equipment, arms, and ammunition that Britain and the neutrall USA plan to ship to the beleaguered Soviet Union. Another excellent video! Noticed a small mistake - at 8:56, Indy says, "1,800 Hurricanes and Spitfires", but the graphic reads 18,000.

You guys do an amazing job of balancing the scale of the atrocities committed without letting the audience become numb. I gave an audible gasp at work when they shot the mayor of Kremenchug, to get shot for such a small act of humanity...

Thank you for another excellent video; thank you the more because you speak so much about solidarity and mutual help. I feel ashamed that in modern Russia, due to the state official position, the role of lend-lease is downplayed and general public doesn't want to know the truth and to be grateful...

Good on putting the second battle of Changsha in. That said, it's odd that we get Wehrmacht commanders named from the army to the division level, but General Xue Yue, who commanded the forces in Changsha, doesn't get a mention. He was one of the few excellent Chinese generals The Chinese were also a bit more tactically sophisticated in the battle than lucking out on Japan not being able to bring up artillery.

No news from the desert?

I'm impressed, Indy. How many takes happened when you went off in describing how much the US & UK was supplying the USSR?

JM

Well I'm glad they got the cobalt, whatever the heck that was for...
