It's not for everyone. I remember when I watched it the first time I had to take 1 hour "cringe breaks" and do something else every time there was a commercial break in the show. Not to mention I straight-up refused to watch CMC episodes.

Being yourself is important, but if your business is on the brink of shutting down then I do believe you have to adapt and change a little. Obviously Rarity went too far because it's MLP lol. It doesn't hurt to take advantage and jump on trends.

Rarity wasn’t intending to be offensive to them. There are plenty of ponies of different backgrounds in the end of the episode that all had to change their decor and menus and such in order to be successful. Rarity just wanted them to succeed, and unfortunately in Canterlot (at least at the beginning of the episode) getting a good rating from Zesty (by changing everything) was the only way for them to do that. If anyone is the awful one it’s Zesty.
